It was rated so highly because it's the best song from the east. In a year where a lot of Balkan countries are absent and Russia and Ukraine are going to suffer based on the political situation, that counts for a lot and gives Armenia a guaranteed number of votes in a year without any standout songs. The western vote is more divided. The Baltics will send some votes Sweden's way, The Netherlands should do reasonably well. Austria will get the novelty vote, but I'm still not convinced that's enough.
