Athletics is the most prolific sport in SPOTY - by some distance. Farah has been argued to have been our greatest ever athlete. Yet in years when he won a nigh on unprecedented double at the Olympics, and then again at the World Championships, he wasn't even placed in the top three. For me, he has almost absolutely no chance other than 2016.

i didnt vote on strictly but did vote for murray to test the system, and was only allowed one vote

abbey got some good pr on bbc all day, and must have picked up a few votes from stoke !

i'd love to see the figures, pity bbc wont release them

It's a great shame that more people haven't put their name to requesting Betfair start a "Who Will Make The 2014 BBC Sports Personality of The Year Shortlist?" market.

It's early in the year, like now, where there are many 'maybes' and 'possibles' that such a market would be fun.

You can still add your intererst at: http://community.betfair.com/specials/go/thread/view/94178/30159889

Come on people! Let's get this market added and then you can decide 'as', 'when' or 'if' you wish to get involved!
