This is the 2nd year of under-performing favourites. Shocking that Ella is still near evens, reminds me of that Devlin girl who started well but lost the plot at about this point in the show. Maybe favouritism goes to these young girls heads.

Can anyone tell me exactly what the big bad news they can push about Baloney to destroy him whenever they want? That he lied in the auditions about the nerves and that he worked on a cruise ship for ages?

They can kill them off by many methods...
Damning him with faint praise will always help a bit. I think he will get the 'modern song' that Tulisa keeps harping on about that will be totally unsuitable for him so he will sound like Jerry St Clair. This will alienate him from his voting audience and they will use the double elimination they have up their sleeve to get make sure he is gone. With so many acts polling so poorly right now they will have to wait a couple of weeks before they try and kill him off but it will happen. If Baloney won this it would be a disaster for them of Brooksteinian proportions! |

I understand they have those methods to kill off an unwanted act if they choose to. But they don't have some big story they can push to alienate him further from his voters? For some reason I was under the impression they did..
 but were keeping it quiet until necessary..? |

They have leaked plenty to the press about him being a faker and a diva...
Notice how it's always 'says someone from the X Factor staff' etc.. It's a drip drip effect for the moment but all helps when it comes to the final execution! |

I'd love it if he forced his way to the final. With the double eviction up the puppetmasters' sleeve it is highly unlikely to happen though. But imagine it; Ella vs Baloney vs Jahmene in the battle of the BALLAD!

if baloney is bottom two he goes, no question. but has he enough regional vote to keep him in a while yet. probably imo. even though he is by some distance the worst performer in the show. i wouldnt go to listen to him if he was playing in my bathroom.
tonight, i would think jade would go and b2 would be jade vs d3, but i cant get out of my head that there are 5 solo male singers left out of ten acts and they will want to cut that down a little. |

Kye was good this week, he's usually abysmal - see last week. But this week his personality and vocals were on point. He's one of several doing poorly on my research though.

Will have a guess later. Question for me is now maloney is 10v90 mamiye and rylan 25v75 is that enough to keep them in over the meh acts at this stage? Won't need more than 5% to survive I'd have thought.
