Just been informed by the DSS that the songs were on their website.  So I 'signed on' and apparently these are this week's songs:

LUCY:     DON'T CRY FOR ME MARJE AND TINA ................. ELAINE PAIGE

ELLA:     FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS .............................. QUEEN

KYE:      DRIFT AWAY ...................................... MICHAEL BOLTON

MK1:      I'LL FIND MY WAY HOME ........................... JON AND VANGELIS

JADE:     WORKING 9 TILL 5 ................................ DOLLY PARTON

JAHMENE:  HE'S THE ONE .................................... ROBBIE WILLIAMS

MALONEY:  ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST ...................... QUEEN

DIST 3:   LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT ........................... BARRY MANILOW

JAMES:    CHEERIO DON'T BE BACK SOON ......................
FAGIN

RYAN:     TIME'S NOT ON MY SIDE ...........................
ROLLING STONES

UNION J:  WHEN? ........................................... SHOWADDYWADDY

Don't take these as gospel but they are the expected songs.

Lou

wink!

Nice one Lou.

It was especially clever of you to mock Jahmene's asexuality by misquoting the Robbie Williams song.

Oh hang on... don't you like Jahmene?

I've literally never ever heard that song and whilst you may think it's a goodin' I'm sure it doesn't help doing songs that many would never have heard of.

From Wish You were Here which sold 13 million copies and reached No. 1 in both UK and US...  They roped in Roy Harper to sing it as he was recording in the studio (Abbey Road) and neither Waters nor Gilmour could hit the high note.  Wouldn't be a problem these days of course with the wonders of autotune.

It's a great track, but I would just find the lyrics very apt,if sung on the show.

Well also on that album of course is 'Welcome to the Machine', so it's a bit of a theme.

Lou how can an old rocker like you...have avoided a track like that from the Floyd all your days?

Their 70s albums are part of our cultural heritage Happy
