Clearly Ancellotti should be 1.8 Wink

Give us an Ancelotti story pls SSN. I reckon we have seen evidence already of them stoking up the market to help the betting arm Mischief

Small drift on avb. People get twitchy when there is no news

AVB would worry me
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 12:06 AM BST
He needs to go back in his comfort zone for a while
Report Cider June 21, 2012 12:09 AM BST
I'm hoping avb buggers off tbf!
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 12:22 AM BST
Still stunned that you would not worship the ground Moyes walked on tbh
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 12:22 AM BST
And yet you would welcome a manager whose team play for the last 2 months of every season...
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 12:23 AM BST
To make people forget the garbage of 7 months preceeding it
Report Cider June 21, 2012 12:30 AM BST
It's the threat of Tottenham playing in the same fashion as the current England. I think it would be hard for him to adapt after so long digging results out with largely average prem squad, but likely moot. Most options would be ahead of avb though.
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 12:36 AM BST
Wigan are a far inferior side to Everton btw Mischief
Report Helmuthian Folds June 21, 2012 2:30 PM BST
Very true GB BUT... Wigan play an expansive passing game and have more possession than vastly superior teams where as Everton play possibly the most boring football in the Prem!

Spuds fans are used to attractive flowing football, Moyes could end up getting the same sort of welcome Big Sam did at Newcastle for exactly the same reasons!
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 2:31 PM BST
Total myth about Everton imho
Report Helmuthian Folds June 21, 2012 2:41 PM BST
Nah mate, even Everton fans I know accept they play pretty boring football.  He is a pragmatic Scot and builds teams that are hard to beat!

Maybe he would have a different approach with a better player pool but until I see it with my own eyes I will believe that Moyes is a negative manager! Wink
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 2:49 PM BST
Saw Everton twice last season and both times we rarely got near their passing game
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 9:05 PM BST
AVB wants to drift but then confident looking money comes to push him back in again. Doesn't look worth opposing
Report GeorgeBrush June 21, 2012 9:57 PM BST
Klinsmann in the UK and waddya know?  Trading at near 10 all of a sudden
Report monkey nuts June 22, 2012 8:40 PM BST

Report timbuctooth June 23, 2012 12:03 PM BST
2.0 available to back him at, the highest in ages. Perhaps a bit more than boredom this time?
Report GeorgeBrush June 23, 2012 12:03 PM BST
Maybe. But you just sense the backer takes the eye off the ball, then smashes him back into 1.4
Report timbuctooth June 23, 2012 12:28 PM BST
Yep, back to 1.3x

I wonder if it’s Daniel Levy, having already decided it will be AVB, is delaying things so he can get more on here at BF.
Report GeorgeBrush June 24, 2012 1:06 AM BST
Most likely to be a contact of some sort. In the natural scheme of things AVB wouldn't have shortened as much as he did on newspaper stories, drifted further on the 'annoyed' story, and be knocking around 3.0 now.
Report Henry VIII June 24, 2012 1:09 AM BST
"knocking around 3.0 now"

Report monkey nuts June 24, 2012 3:46 PM BST
A bizarre market,

As GB says above, the stories coming from the media would not make AVB a 1.3 favourite, especially if it's true there have been no actual interviews yet, with Levy being out of the country.
Report GeorgeBrush June 24, 2012 5:25 PM BST
Pretty common in manager markets and it's risky to oppose. The guys or guys should just let me drift though, and they might get much better prices. They must be pretty certain though looking at the trades below 1.5.
Report GeorgeBrush June 24, 2012 5:26 PM BST

"Most likely to be a contact of some sort."

For some reason people never think it's the man at the top but it often is. He's the only one who knows.

Henry

I don`t know if you were following it, but there was a widespread belief that Harry Redknapp was behind millions of pounds of trades on himself to go to, I can`t remember who, three or four years ago. 1.0x,  out, back to 1.0x, out,  and repeat to fade...

Newcastle? Was that when Keegan went back?  A 350 point win, my best ever on here. (Or anywhere, now that I think about it.)

He wouldn't be stupid enough to be insider dealing, presumably. A relative or mate perhaps, I reckon it's known that avb is first choice, but negotiations are never straight forward.
Report GeorgeBrush June 24, 2012 7:18 PM BST
True - Hodgson was a the same price as this an hour or two after it was all over 5live that he was the preferred choice for England

This price suggesting it's signed and sealed though

Report Cider June 24, 2012 7:22 PM BST
Really, these are not markets I'd monitor. If something is certain, normally the inherent greed in people forces any price to be taken.
Report GeorgeBrush June 24, 2012 7:24 PM BST
That's the thing. To the layman it's not certain at all. But somebody clearly thinks it is. This to me is more persuasive than the snowball effect
Report Cider June 24, 2012 7:28 PM BST
Unless you were party to when an official announcement was forthcoming, you wouldn't want to lose the chance of profiting (more). To patiently wait until better prices came, and going in a bit more would be incredibly shrewd, unless it was a full time winning gambler. An opportunity like that would only come round once. Certainly interesting trading going on.
Report Cider June 24, 2012 7:31 PM BST
Someone or people are keeping the price 'falsely' low given all publicly currently available information.
Report GeorgeBrush June 24, 2012 7:34 PM BST
Oh yeah certainly. I remember when Quinn won that classic Sunderland market, suddenly hammered into 1.2 by his Irish chums. I announced on the SMB he was the new manager and everyone said 'who's this clown?' (no change there then). That afternoon he was appointed.

Report monkey nuts June 25, 2012 1:46 PM BST
just been reading the 'insider' knowledge betting theory above, which makes perfect sense.

Am i right in thinking? a lot of 'trading' has been going on in-between the times where this 'insider' is bangging into the price, otherwise there would be some very big reds about.
Report GeorgeBrush June 25, 2012 1:48 PM BST
Certainly, it'll also be people clearing reds and others opposing.  But definitely someone or some people are hammering the price
Report monkey nuts June 25, 2012 1:57 PM BST
