Yes, they were mostly under 18, but I decided to let it ride when he started getting very aggressive towards Becky. I thought his behaviour deteriorated from what was already a low.

why do you say that the polls would have been 80/20 years ago?!

It was more straight forward and pantomime like. People voted obnoxious characters out. Now viewers have dropped from millions to hundreds of thousands, and the smaller more hard core electorate have more affinity for characters that make the show interesting, however obnoxious.

It made possible Aeron’s win last year.

Affinity with people like Chris and Aeron is also because the audience that is still watching after all these years is itself sadder, with less of a life
