Las Vegas-themed house. Pics on tmix:
Channel 5 have today revealed the new look Big Brother 2012 house. The daddy of all reality shows, Big Brother, returns to Channel 5 this June for a long hot summer run that will surprise, delight and have the viewers glued to their screens. Not only will the housemates dwell in one of the most sumptuous houses in Big Brother history, they’ll also be able to enjoy the largest living space ever. The house has been designed with old school Vegas glamour. The garden showcases two famous views from Nevada: the Vegas strip at dusk and the rocky outcrops of the Grand Canyon. A huge hot tub, positioned right next to the swimming pool, is guaranteed to get the housemates steamed up. The garden also features a grand dining space large enough for the entire house. The outside glass-walled bathroom can only be accessed from the garden and features a rock wall, an opulent gold and black colour scheme and a roll top bath. The state of the art kitchen has granite surfaces, marbled walls and bronze designer lights while the bedroom and bathroom both open out into the garden. Showgirls take centre stage in the bedroom with can-can girls emblazoned on the walls and a huge vintage-style theatre mirror area where the housemates get ready. |

Three potential Big Brother housemates will be fighting for viewer votes in order to enter the house, it has been revealed today. The trio of personalities were originally rejected from the show for being too “over the top”. They include an “Indian Brian Dowling”, a Dr Who fan and a girl nicknamed The Hurricane. Viewers will be invited to vote for their favourite during launch week, with only one entering the house to become a housemate. Bit On The Side star Jamie East was given the power to pick the wild card finalists from the hundreds of rejected auditionees. He told the Daily Star today: “I went in with a plan to pick housemates that Big Brother would never put in the house. “I think I’ve succeeded.” He went on: “I am so confident with my choices. “I predict that whoever viewers choose will go all the way and make the final.” The trio will star in a special audition show at 8PM on June 5 on Channel 5, before the live launch show at 9PM. |

Big Brother to launch with shock twist!
Big Brother bosses are planning a shock twist to kick off this year’s Big Brother, which will see one housemate evicted from the show minutes after they enter the house. The Daily Star says one of the 16 housemates will be given the boot in a special “first impressions” task. Once all 16 contestants are in the house, the housemates will be told to start nominating two housemates to lose their place in the house. Phonelines will open at the end of the launch show and the nominees with the most votes will be up for eviction. Whoever has the lowest number of votes will leave the house just three days later, on Friday 8th June. The cruel twist was dreamed up by the show’s host Brian Dowling, who last year told Celebritain “If I were in charge of Big Brother, I would force the housemates to nominate straight away. It’s cruel, because they can only really judge each other on how they look”. Producers will replace the evicted housemate with one voted IN by viewers. Show host Brian Dowling, 33, said: “The producers have lots of surprises in store. Let the games begin.” This year’s Big Brother begins at 9pm on Tuesday 5th June. Advertisement |

+1 ?

Possibly. I'm not sure I can cope with the LW though, for 3 or 4 mins of Emma Willis.
They're unlikely to say anything of interest. |

true, this hooting and hollering is unbearable

they turn up at 1.00 (2.00 on the +1) if anyone wants to catch them without sitting through loads of LW

fll Brighton Newmarket, while not being exactly half-way, is, at least, a neutral venue for the `fll does naughty things to Lou if Vince wins`rendezvous. I`m sure squares won`t mind posting it on Youtube, for those that can`t make it. |

whills going 4/7 female v 5/4 male first evictee. There will be a first impressions eviction after a few minutes. Don't women look to get rid of what they see as more attractive women?
Odds too skimpy for me but 2 women up likely and even if one of each GBP usually go for men over women...I think. |

see the show starts at 10.00 each night this week (after launch night) with no show on Saturday.

Sixteen brand new housemates will enter Big Brother 2012 on Tuesday, and here’s a few teasers of the people you can expect to see!
Kicking off what could be a nine-week stint inside the house, the housemates will enter during this week’s special live launch show. Brian Dowling will kick off the series from 9PM on Channel 5 on June 5. Amongst the wannabes battling for a £100,000 prize are an LA gangster and Essex bouncer. Of course, this being Big Brother, there’s also going to be plenty of eye candy. As well as two former beauty queens, there’s a porn star and Playboy bunny set to enter the house. They’ll all be joined by a 41-year-old cage-fighting cougar! “There’s an amazing mix of characters this year, which will make for fantastic telly,” a source told the Daily Star Sunday today. “As well as the two beauty queens, the Playboy bunny and the cougar are bound to ensure there’s plenty of flirting and probably a good dose of romance. The bath will be big enough for six housemates at once, so anything could happen.” The insider added: “There will be romance or rows within hours.” |

As to what the newbies need to do to keep their place in the house, Channel 5 have issued a set of 10 “Big Brother Commandments” which are…
BE ENTERTAINING (but don’t try too hard) BE ENTHUSIASTIC (but not irritating) BE INTELLIGENT (but not sneaky) HELP WITH CLEANING (but don’t be a martyr) DON’T BOSS PEOPLE AROUND (alpha males come unstuck) DON’T GOSSIP (at least not too much) BE HILARIOUS (if you’re not funny, you’re heading for defeat) AVOID RELATIONSHIPS (the odd snog won’t hurt) DON’T THINK YOU’RE FAMOUS JUST FOR BEING THERE (because you’re definitely not) …and finally, but importantly: BE NICE (because it’s nice to be nice) |
