The Voice UK finalists have revealed their potential winners songs that they’ll release if they win the show tonight.


Vince Kidd, Leanne Mitchell, Bo Bruce and Tyler James will be battling it out for a record contract this evening.

Chatting to us yesterday, Tyler revealed he had recorded his own cover of Higher Love.

“If I won it’d be Higher Love, or at least that’s what I’ve been told!” he said.

Bo Bruce will be releasing Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinéad O’Connor if she wins, while Vince Kidd will release his audition track Like A Virgin.

Leanne Mitchell however revealed she was still deciding her track.

“I’m not sure what one it is, it’s either Run To You, I think it will be Run To You or Put A Spell On You, but I’m not entirely sure,” she told us.

Meanwhile Bo defended the decision to release covers as the winner’s singles.

“I think doing covers has taken me completely out of my comfort zone, they’ve made me sing differently than I normally do, so I’m really happy doing covers,” she explained.

But Bo added: “It’d be brilliant to have the first release be something we’d written, but that doesn’t work as the show’s not about that.


Seems like Bo is confident of a good rendition of NCTY if that's the choice for her winner's song.

Looks like I'm the only one with a huge huge green on Vince. Just need to decide what to spend it on :)

Given the expected Bo ramp,I see the finishing order as Bo,Leanne,Tyler,Vince.I'm hoping someone will put up a s/f market so I can have Bo to beat Leanne as a cover bet.

The more they ramp her the more votes she loses.

Interesting idea, but hasn't worked in practice very often. Rhydian probably. Ruth I agree, they pushed her too hard. Tyler still defeated Jaz from pimp even with an awful display. Many old rules still apply

Ruth got beat simply because Leanne is a better singer and was far more likeable and easier for the audience to relate to.

Ruth got the same ramp 3 weeks running, all things fail to have an effect if repeated again and again!

I'm one of the mugs with a huge green on Vince, and also Bo (which apparently was less muggish)

Currently greening up on Tyler and Leanne, think Tyler is the only one in with a shot of beating Bo, because he gets votes from all age demographics which is very important in these shows

I'd like to pile in on Leanne, but I just don't think the council house army / chaveliers have bothered with this show at all

Tyler gets he MEM and the younger girls vote.  Leanne some MEMs and the few older blokes who vote. Vince purely some of the twitterati (ie noisy but none voters) and a few young 'uns and Bo feck knows.

It is hard to see her winning, she's like a Michelle McManus... except has kept much more quietly in the background

I've been very open with my bets....its no secret I've fooked virtually everything up....apart from my bet on Leanne.

It's been a very difficult show to predict generally, there's not much info to go on and running order has made an enormous difference

Feel I've got extremely lucky with Bo and Vince, 2 weeks ago was massively regretting piling on them both.

Ruth backers can count themselves unlucky, thought she had it won. Going on first is the only reason she went

Leanne was better than Ruth and more likeable. That was enough to win from any trap I suspect.  As the viewers get to know the acts then the Golden Rules start to kick in.

Time will tell how lucky you are re bo and vince. Kicking myself for not being a big red on Tyler especially after taking some craic defending him.

OT, It's all about the voice!  Just seen this in Thursday's Telegraph.

A builder has been offered a record deal after a music exec heard him singing while he fitted her kitchen.

Lisa Davies, who also represents Cliff Richard and Chris De Burgh , signed up Michael Armstrong, 38, on the sop after hearing his "outstanding" voice at her home in Surrey.  She said "it's just such a shame he wasn't discovered earlier."

A story SCowell would be proud of, although he'd no doubt stick him in the XF audition process.

Perhaps Lou was doing a bit of Cardle-style odd jobbing.

A hunky builder in a MILF's kitchen gets offered a.......record contract.......like the surprise ending there.

The BBC will not be releasing voting figures and percentages for The Voice UK 2012, it has been revealed.

The Beeb has notoriously refused to reveal voting figures for its reality shows, saying that could influence the way people vote.

It’s in stark contrast to The X Factor, where detailed voting stats, including exact percentages and voting figures, are revealed at the end of the series.

On The Voice UK voting figures, the BBC commented: “The BBC does not disclose this information, however we will in the final show announce approximately how much money has been raised for charity.”

But the news has left a lot of viewers angry, especially as the live final failed to reveal even who had finished in third and second place between Tyler James and Bo Bruce.

Speaking in the context of Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC previously explained their stance: “We invite you to vote for the dancers that you liked best, based on their performance in each show and during the series. Releasing voting figures could affect the way that people vote, and also have an impact on the participants. We therefore do not disclose the exact voting figures.

“Although the BBC is subject to the Freedom of Information Act, information which is closely connected to our programme-making is not covered by the Act. The Information Commissioner, who regulates the Act, has confirmed that information about Strictly Come Dancing voting is not covered. We are therefore not required to disclose the voting figures under the Act.”
