I hope this tournament has been treating you all well. I looked in on the very first match and the pockets looked a bit buckety with poor liquidity in the markets. How has it been this week?

Hello gin - nice to have a snooker event where the markets are not miles ahead of the pics for a change. Opening match last sunday had the cushions seeming to drag the balls into the pockets

Not that I have seen every frame - Just the same as they usually are - just a couple of bounces along the cushion and dropping in - or as the comms say "just the pace - any harder and it wouldn't have dropped"

It's disappointing that they can't keep the pockets tight.

Can't see any way back for Higgins. No doubt he would have loved Wilson to have got turned over last night. Just too much pressure given that this will probably be his last chance at a big one. Wouldn't be surprised if Wilson just pulls away.

there'd be max 10-12 centuries in this event if the bags were set up properly best of 11s lasting 4 hours such is the woeful standard

Tortuous. Wilson was poor and Higgins was abysmal. Lucky to get to the final, and then produced nothing when he got there.
