Lovely man. Went to watch Pot Black at Pebble Mill in 1978/79. Can't remember exact details of the format, but I think we saw at least 8 different players (brilliant day out). At a break my mate's dad told me to go and get some autographs. Got both Ray's and Doug Mountjoy's. Both lovely men/humble. More recently (last year) I met Mark Williams at the Centaur in Cheltenham. Again, a lovely men. Although I'm very much an English man, as a snooker fan, I'm a huge fan of the Welsh. RIP Ray - absolute legend.
