Anybody happen to be betting on this match last night using Gruss? If so, I would be VERY interested to hear from you if you can produce a Transaction Log from the in-play section of the match.
BF voided all bets on the match 10 hours after it was settled, citing that it never went in-play.
I was not using Gruss, I use Bet Angel, but the match was defiantly in play with the normal time delay, possible it was not put in play for earlier frames? I only joined for last frame or two, but only just noticed that the bets have been voided since seeing your post. they always used to contact you and let you know they where changing something, not any more it seems?

Thanks for the reply, Trebor. BA doesn't happen to produce (and crucially store) transaction logs, does it, including the response times? That's the bit we need.
And you are correct, BF did USED to let you know they had voided bets and why, but evidently we are no longer worthy of that level of service.

Everytime you place, cancel or amend a bet on Gruss, it records how long it takes the server to action it. Any bet placements or amends (other than cancels) show up in the transaction log as 5000 ms+ because they're obviously subject to the bet placement delay. The problem is that unless you have it configured to save the transaction log when you close the program (a non-default setting), it just wipes it.
So far as we were all concerned, everything was fine and dandy with that market, so even if I'd known that at the time, I probably still wouldn't have activated it. Lesson learned.
I was literally told that unless I could PROVE that the in-play delay had been functioning on the market 24 hours after it took place that they would not investigate matters any further. I was basically called a liar and told that their could not have been a 5-second delay on the market as it was not in-play.

I will look after this match has finished, I have just looked through the BA guide and they save the logs for last 6 sessions, mine go back to the 11th Feb

Got the log for the match but there is nothing in them about response times, just time bet was placed, amount, on who, weather matched etc and ref number.

sounds very much like a battle you wont win without the BA logs you talked about. Maybe BF dont have the resource to look into a market as small as this, when they've bigger problems to manage?

I suspect there is probably more to it. They had somehow managed to take John Higgins out of the tournament winner's market before a ball was potted....
It all stinks to high heaven, and yes, it is a battle I am not expecting to win.

you suggest wrongdoing by betfair?!! Under what possible circumstances would they even consider it!?
They've way too much to lose as a business for not playing by their rules, surely. Not like they are an unquoted tin-pot shyster.

Well, they are quite happy to tell me that the market was not in-play when it patently was. What am I supposed to think?
How often does a player erroneously get taken out of a tournament market before he's struck a ball and then all bets placed in-play on the match market get voided? There's all sorts of cross-matching goes on between related markets on here these days....
