Looks a bit of a minefield this tournament, with a massively uneven draw.
I've left all the runners in the top half alone, but I've got a sneaker we're going to see the latest episode of the Trump/Wilson saga in the semi there.
I've had a little dart at a couple of rags in the bottom half, quite like the look of Luo Honghao and I reckon we might get a decent run out of Tom Ford who's been in some reasonable form this season. Looks a huge chance for Selby to play himself into a bit of form though the way the draw shapes, and at the prices I've had to get involved.
My main selection is Neil Robertson though, I'm sure he's rediscovering his best form this season and he doesn't look to have a lot of potential dangers in his quarter if he turns up at his best.

Wouldn’t be surprised if judd was to check out earlyish from this one, keep his powder dry for the next itv tournaments. I used to like the welsh open but no breathing space on calendar anymore has taken from its appeal.

It does allow us a little quality time with Dominic Dale though so it's not all bad. Hopefully there may also be the odd snippet of footage featuring Doug Mountjoy's frilly shirt and a cameo or two from Darren Morgan.
