Can someone explain the point of having a plus and minus 0.5 handicap in best of odd number snooker matches, because I can't????

I guess it's doing no harm, but surely only applies in games where a tie is possible.

There’s zero point to it obviously unless it’s some kind of asian handicap thing. Not really into asian handicaps though so no idea if they’re done in snooker matches.

Agree totally. Far as I ca see it's meaningless -- there being no chance of a draw.
