Entertaining but not quite as entertaining as Jimmy in his hey day.
Will probably win a good number of ranking events but not quite as many as Jimmy.
Fragile and decision making suspect under the utmost pressure maybe not quite as bad Jimmy.
Will probably go far in a few World's but never quit win it but maybe not as many finals as Jimmy.

I agree poor mans Jimmy White but i still reckon Trump will win a few world titles.Remember there is no Stephen Hendry about or anyone as near as good as Hendry was in his peak.
there doesn't have to be anyone good, remember that Jimmy White was beaten by Cliff Thorburn and John Parrott

^ White certainly didn't lose a World Championship Final to Cliff Thorburn. 4 x Hendry, 1 x Davis, 1 x Parrott
Certainly good to watch and maybe he will win the worlds but he has thrown one away and the balls never forgive.
Judd is very much a product of the ultra fast cloth and Jimmy in his informative years certainly never had that so its only opinion and nothing conclusive can be said.
My own opinion is the conditions changed the game so much and what is possible now was certainly never possible then, but for me, Jimmy is in a different league to Trump.
Jimmy did not have a weakness and was no more a bottler than any other player but just extremely unlucky to perform in an era where tables were more difficult and players were hardened match players and of course Davis and Hendry were true greats.
Todays table has elevated players to a higher potting level than they might have achieved on the thicker cloth but at the same time its made it more difficult for the very best players to impose themselves because the pockets are so forgiving now.
Jimmy is in my top 10 of all time, but Trump has the time to prove his worth but has a long way to go at present.
Hendry and Davis in their pomp playing in these conditions would have found it harder to impose themselves but they helped the development of Ronnie, Mark and John who can still give these pretenders a nightmare who really are not in the same class.

Trump will have to curb his play a little. I havent seen that much snooker lately but trump seems to be playing some low percentage shots at important times in a match this will cost him against the better players. His game isnt moving forward that much.
A good example of he player he needs to study is Neil Robertson he has made big improvements in his tactical play.
He was once know as a fantastic potter with little else to his game now when on form he has an all round game to match any player and super tactical player.
IF trump doesnt sort this side of his game out in 5 -10 years time well be talking of him as an under achiever.

Total agreement, Jimmy will forever remain the most exciting attacking player to hit the game.

The famous higgins world semi should never just be recalled for that break from higgins... but the incredible snooker jimmy played throughout the first 25 odd frames. He made century when it was 10-10 or something that is rarely seen but just not possible in that day.

If Jimmy had gone on to win that semi against Higgins who btw was also a genius ,i think Jimmy would of not only won that final but a couple more at least , ifs and buts i know but Jimmy will always be an all time favourite with all involved with snooker ,,,one game worth a watch again was there Mosconi cup doubles ,,mainly Alex doing the business but both were having a great time at the yanks expense ,Alex im sure was pretty drunk but still pulling off some incredible shots and Jimmy was all smiles ,,,,worth a look
