Carter's safety play has been very poor. Far too many lose shots so far.

Only a matter of time before Carter starts F-ing and Jeffing.

Judd Trump has a face that you want to slap.

Dont know the lad, but don't like him.

Cant explain why, just taken an instant dislike to his mug.

I think Trump is an incredibly arrogant player.

I think this match has some way to go, yes Carter is a much better player than trump, he is a snooker hard man that was just below the Hendrys, O'Sullivans. and Higgins of this world though I think he would beat them now.
The only reason I did not and would not lump on Carter is because I am certain these tables have been set up for a wham bam thank you mam type player and the last thing Hearn wants is a player like carter to be world champion.
We have all seen the balls dropping that should not and its not the odd one its dozens in each match.
Watch what you stake there are no certainties out there.

I agree with Davyb, think Carter is playing superbly. The long game looks in great nick, which is always a telling sign to how a player is playing. What's more impressive is that he was threatening retiring as he does not enjoy the game/practice anymore. Perhaps he has really prepared himself for this tournament and will reassess the position afterwards. He loves this place, finalist and a 147, to be fair he's playing as well as ever and as well as any in the tournament. Can see him strengthening his lead today.

Carter losing the safety battles virtually all the time in this match - only one winner imo.

Should be 8-6.

He still looks underpar but he's a far better safety player. If he didn't go for as many low percentage shots as he does, he would be 10-2 or so ahead by now.

tbf he was unlucky, but that safety was short again. At this level you have to leave the white ball on the top cushion. Carter has struggled getting the cue ball safe a numbers times.
