my selection's Neil Roberston,

got a tough opening match again Doherty how isn't the player he once was and on the verge of dropping out of top 32,

then the winner of gould/gilbert i think he will breeze through this into the QF

now getting into the business end of tournament and hopefully overcome possibly williams or o'sullivan.

a tough SF against selby but winning a close match

then in the final overcoming trump, higgins or murphy

so starting off with £50 @10.5

hopefully by the end of sunday evening he will have won the 1st of 5 matchs to the titleExcitedHappy

i know Doherty had a bad season last yr, and fancy robbo to win, just said "tough opening" because i think most 1st round match's are tough has players get a feel for the tables.

Think it's too long a tournie for Selby at the moment with his injury. Got a feeling it will catch up with him.

I agree with the Robertson's. Higgins a no for me this year. Trump still got a couple of years of mental improvement to do for me.

Setup for the Aussie.

Expect a good run from Matthew Stevens, Trump is far to over rated for my liking and 5/1 to lift the title is far to short.

Hendry to beat Bingham at evens will do me thank you very much, and I will hopefuly collect on the correct score of 10-5 10-6.

A lot of smart people saying Robertson

Personally don't think he's ready to win it again yet..

Ding/Maguire final with Ding winning I reckon

Do you really think Allen has the temperament to go all the way Moondan.  I mean 13-5 defeat against Williams last year, he completely lost his head didn't he?

I've actually backed him myself amongst others, but maybe I'll back to lay or get rid completely.  Hmmm, at least he should get through 1st round easily enough.

My other main selections:  Ding & Murphy.  Lots of small backs on some high priced players.

I agree that Neil Robertson has a tricky 1st round match against Doherty, who can be shocking in both meanings of the word 'shocking', but to me he's the right choice, as is John Higgins.

lukekelly88 - dont know how you can call someone who has won 2 UKs and a Masters as a serial choker

Think Trump has the 'easiest' route to the semis so I'm on him at 6.2
Will be looking to lay off later on though.

I agree Ding or Robertson look the pick of the bunch.

at the crucible i have never been impressed by him,in my opinion he is a choker.. he can turn it on from time to time but he should have won a heck of a lot more tournaments with the hype thats surrounded him for the last 7 years

Trump has different pressure these days. Not only favourite in the betting but favourite in his own head. He expects great things and like Selby struggled with expectation, it may just stop him playing to his max .
Higgins will struggle to play himself into form.
Ronnie could struggle when he plays fellow attacking players who hit his confidence.

Robertson ticks every single box again this year. He is bang in form, he can battle, handle pressure, his matchplay game is much improved. He can play to a very high level consistently and he seems to be on an upward curve.

Not easy to win this event when you are favourite and the expectation is for you to win it. Trump has completely different pressure on him than last year. Robertson is equally as talented in the balls and his long game. Robertson has the edge on experience and maturity. Boys dont win the World Championship.

Will Trump reach evens overnight?? LaughLaugh How silly is that price? Laugh 4.9 and he's not even played 1st round... I know why it's been shortening but it still is shockingly low.

I wont have a bet until the quarters just stick to the match betting.

I am certain there is no Hendry out there but Judd could be the closest thing if he grows up.

Too many dark horses emerging and Stevens springs to mind.

Ding seems to be slipping under the radar but these tables dont help real class.
