It'll be after dinner so Stephen might not be that hungry

Lee can pot the balls still
such a solid player |

yes, Stepehn is still a great player but he does miss a lot more than he used too, Ding is a little more consistent and a bigger scorer on the big stage, I just think Ding will be too much for Lee tonight

It's a bit short for me. Not seen Ding play yet this tourney but Lee's looked to be cuing nicely.
Maguire at 1.96 (on the other site) is definitely worth a poke imo. Selby looked almost burned out yesterday as Gould made error after error to let Selby just fall over the line. |

Well I took the 30-1 on lee this morning so I am biased but on the face of it Ding is a big price but if I had to draw up a list of under achievers both Lee and Ding would be near the top.
Steven can hit the ball sweeter than anyone I have ever seen and the sound is unmistakable but Ding has the class of a Hendry when he is in full flow but its rare he puts 2 matches together. 1.48 could look huge by 9pm tonight but so could 30 to 1. I just dont trust the form book anymore these tables are puting no pressure on potting, this afternoon was laughable at times. |

Just started another thread! Ding is short for me - good H2H record against Lee but I still think he's not good at coming from behind. Needs to be always leading or his head drops and starts almost sulking.

if lee beats ding ill be pretty amazed, lee needs 3/4 chanes to win frames these days

Crazy scenes. A siren going off on the backswing and Stephen Lee misses the green in the deciding frame. Not good at all.

david blunketts dog would have potted that green with fireworks going off in the background !!

He thought it was the ice cream van.

I backed Lee but never will again, it wasn't just the unmissable green, it was also his general lack of snooker intelligence that has cost his career dear.
His health situation doesn't help and he can cry about that green until his retirement but the fact was he made too many hard to understand mistakes that were compounded by poor shot selection at crucial times. Its a habit that has dogged a career that should have been so different. |
