Twice Lucky ran well and was only beaten by Sue Smiths other runner Teenando. Trainer is in excellent form at the moment and we had no help from the field or the favourite.
I am going to risk Wiesentraum in the 3pm Huntingdon.This looks fairly competitive and the selection hasn't really shown much promise previously so fingers crossed today won't be any different.
Hurricane Hymnbook was kept out the back and was in a position to challenge coming off the bend.Snatched up when building up a head of steam which allowed the 3 that placed to draw clear.It finished 4th of 12.
Ran better than I expected at this course.
I was matched at 3.3 earlier on and it was generally 3/3.2 before drifting out in the betting.BFSP 3.75
Piscean was at the back for most of the race but made up a few places in the home straight.Finished 10th of 12 and was never in the race.One to follow again over 6f.I'm giving up on Secret Witness for now but will keep an eye on it.
Ok after two rather unsettling selections I have a bit more confidence in this horse.Never won over 6f and it has no recent form to suggest any improvement just yet.The trainer is out of form and there are plenty of course/distance winners that have good chances.My idea of the winner is Secret Witness which has a good turn of speed when in good form and it's recent second inspires confidence in a good follow up effort.
