Anyone remember these from way back in the day, when it was a separate rugby league forum: Stanley Unwin NASHWAN RLKingpunter Poxchange TheBullster King David Solomona Nudger Daz The Man
The Man , gave some great information, dont know what happened to him. Also remember RLKingpunter. Dont remember the rest .Do remember though when the Rugby forum was vibrant and a great source of knowledgeable information. Always remember when some "rich" punter tried to lay the draw on games at heavily inflated prices but was soon taken to the cleaners by the forum , great days.Lots of chat those days cant understand why its so hard to get people talking about the sport.

Remember meeting a few of the old forum guys ie the visionary et al at Wembley in 2011 when England played Australia. Had quite a few beers and then we wentfor a curry, blew their heads off !! Anyone about that Remembers that ? Was a good day.

I went to a separate meetup in London, met the Visionary, RugbyMan and a few others, for quite a few beers! Times are much different now though, with reduced liquidity on the exchanges, and generally tougher margins when you can get on with the bookmakers. Trading now seems impossible, even on popular televised games. Back then, a Sky subscription with sport pretty much included everything, now you need at least several subscriptions if you want to see most of the action. Hence the reason for the sad decline of this forum.

I remember NASHWAN, I think he was either Greek or Turkish.
A big Liverpool supporter who was a frequent visitor to London casinos and liked a brass or two when he had a winning night. He made the very first post when the forum changed from a rolling forum with all sports mixed up together to it's current form.

A few of those guys mentioned had a private group chat invite only thing going on. Whether it is still active or not I do not know. They knew their stuff and had some very good insightful thoughts on the game.

Well have not heard from you in age's, nice to hear from you again Northanlite! You were there almost at the start, hope all is well. Suppose you are happy at Scotlands improvement over the last couple of years.

I'm like a lingering smell, always around but you are not sure where it is coming from.
Being competitive is all you can ask for from Scotland, also beating England quite regularly is very pleasant. I am expecting a reaction next 6N.
They are still the team that loses to Italy then beats France so not consistent.
It is a squad thing/player numbers. If we could have our best 23 available every game then tough team to beat. That is true of most squads tbf but we don't have the back up.
Also Enjoyed seeing Glasgow Warriors become a fixture in the play offs.
If anyone is around I might get involved in some URC chat. It is a mad competition but betting opportunities .

Dunno why this forum got so quiet apart from the above mentioned invite site. They did ask me but I didn't like the idea of it at the time.
Now I can see the benefit of it because all these forums get hijacked by half wits having squabbles over f all.
They obviously saw the direction of travel before i did.
