Wow Ireland have been great. SA physical reputation not bothering the greens at all and they look the far superior side. C'mon Ireland from this wallabies supporter.

Terrific result yesterday, but was that Ireland’s final? Saffers left 11 points out there, 8 of them relatively easy ones. An absolutely brutal game.

Can see these two meeting again in the semi-final, though not a given against the hosts and the All Blacks.

Still can’t get my head around why the best four teams are in one half of the draw and all the crud in the other though.

They can’t meet in the semi final

Thanks for that. I’d heard in more than one outlet that the top half and bottom half were separate, but you’re correct. Could be the final though.

Not for us sonLaugh

IRE / NZ v Wales  / ARG

SA / FRA v Engerland

Where is your money?

Like I said the only chance we have is that the occasion gets to the better team and if develops into a massive arm wrestle. Nog saying we are bigger and stronger but that side of the draw have the better rugby players. We have no chance playing rugby against them. I am not saying wd ard bigger and stronger either but strange things can happen.

Personally taking allegiance out of it I would love to see a Ireland v France Final or a brutal Ireland v SA

My money is on the brutal final but wouldn’t have a clue who would win.

It's a very tantalising semi final line up.

Of the top guns I'd pick France as the least likely potential winner and it's take your pick out of the other three. Just my thoughts which could easily come back to haunt me later. Laugh

England effectively could be in the Semis but I struggle to see us getting past a proper side

Ireland get through that possible match up vs NZ in the quarters it might be hard to stop them

Have been strongly against England for ages but the forwards have been ok so far; the set pieces of the top 3 teams haven't been functioning well. With a pedantic ref what's the possibility of another couple of nine three pointers ?

That is the beauty / ugliness of Rugby

The 2 quarter finals are mouth watering entres

Thd / semi’s will be steak and chips

And the final most likely a full stodgy affair that we just cannot help but have.

I just want France to win for the good of the game

Yes I agree W.D. with your sentiments and I'm trying to remain focused and impartial from a punting perspective but...Ireland winning would be absolutely magnificent.

Mad the way the draw worked. A poor England side has an easier draw. It's almost as though those incomer think this is football. Anyhow at least the current buns are out...
