Once again rugby officials get a decision completely wrong, tell the players to stop complaining about it, and refuse to properly review it. I'm talking about the pass for Scotland's 4th try which, even live at full speed, was clearly 2 yards forward. To make it that much easier for the officials, the pass crossed the 22-metre line, from one yard short of it to one yard beyond it. In slow motion (eg on the BBC website) it is even more blindingly obvious. Equally ridiculous was that none of the so-called experts in the studio even challenged it at the end of the game, as if it was a perfectly good try.

I didn't watch the Scotland game, but there is no expectation that a pass ends up in a position on or behind the line at which is starts. There's this thing called momentum, and the rules take this into account. It's all down to whether it comes forward out of the hands or not.
** Having now watched the try in question on the BBC website, it does still appear to come forward out of the hands to me, irrespective of the above, IMHO. |

Amazing result, Wales 21 - 22 Italy.
£5,160 traded on Wales @ 1.01. You have to say fair play to Italy, that was a super try to score at the death. Hopefully that will give Italian rugby a huge boost for the future. |

Great Scenes !!

Great scenes at Cardiff with the Italian fans in tears. Lovely to see that.

Ireland to give up 16.5 at a shade of odds on. Maybe but not sure about that.
I've had a speculative punt on the draw instead @ 55.0. You never know ! ![]() |

Another shoe in try blown by Hogg again today (after hollering for the ball from chris harris vs france and dropping it) time for heads to roll with scotland - townsend wont be sacked before World cup but picking players in fragrant breach of team orders and going on the piss bound to cause dissent in the camp
|
|
By:
France worth a lay, maybe?? I saw them struggle to beat Wales last time. I'm not a rugby fan, but I wasn't that impressed, for all the pundits lavishing praise on them.

By:
Be surprised if England have a chance with this ref, Des….
|
|
By:
yes, you're probably right. I don't know much about rugby, to be honest. I never understand why penalties are given.

By:
Have to agree about the Hogg missed try , why didnt he pass it , three guys waiting inside ,looking for glory perhaps?
One good thing yesterday was the the two refs ,Peyper and Barnes both overturning the 4th official who wanted players sent off, about time that they used their own judgements. England need a scrum half badly in time for the World cup! |
|
By:
In todays games, England are beating Scotland rather easily. Makes a change from the hapless men's team.

Yes indeed Sageform and yet Chief Executive of the England RFU,Bill Sweeney, has supported Eddie Jones in face of him being under pressure.
Two 6 nations wins at home to Wales and away to Italy simply is not good enough. |
