I backed Saracens to come bottom before the start of last season at 500/1 for £2 on the Sportsbook (also backed Exeter at same odds) as i figured no team should be those odds in a 12-team league.Actually had no idea about the ongoing investigation which had already lasted several months at the time.As a seasoned punter I saw it as a one of my luckier moments as things panned out,However the bet was voided on 7 Oct.There was no small print about points deductions etc.I have contacted Betfair but during the second chat session was told by the op they had to finish the conversation.Have not got a printout of the bet but have the bet id and ref obviously.Any advice?Thanks

If there was nothing in the small print have they said why they voided the bet ? I assume that if the investigation was known about before the bet was struck it would be somewhere in the t/c. If not surely you are entitled to be paid.

BF are getting good at voiding bets and then providing little-to-no explanation as to why they've done so.
Onus of the proof invariably ends up being left to the punter to show why they're wrong to void, and it sounds like you're not in a position to do so, sadly. |

Did u get your 2 quid back from the chiefs bet? Ro000bing co000nts. Should of payed out imo but probably been voided as loads of other peeps in the know lumped it and there liabilties were high.
If there is nothing in tbe t and cs go to Ibas and pray the betfair peeps not took the Ibaz chief out for a good bo00tle of red that week. |

Thanks for the replies to my first ever post.It is indeed a lot quieter in the rugby forum these days so I was bloody relieved to get your replies(and no abuse!) .The email I got from Bf mentioned official tournament results only and not any points deductions counting.It appears the Lord gaveth to me twice but then tooketh away twice(the points deduction,season stopped,then started ... then bet voided).I have been in the game enough years but showed some big naievety there.I could see it as a hell of a run for mi £2 when in fact there was no run at all!I should have thought to search out the t+cs.Or have they just fed me that spiel?At least Ive registered with IBAS.What if that were Lfc to come bottom of the Prem Lge at 500's have to think it would include any points deductions.Guess I have little chance ... or do I?I used to consider miself a slightly unlucky punter(join the queue I guess)till I got a large slice of luck regarding a bet placed on the wrong market in the golf a few years ago that came in handsomely.I saw this Sa(la)ries bet as no 2 stroke of big luck.Anyway enough of the soliloquising.Thanks again.I was genuinly nervous.My pair didnt grow too much ...
