NRL wanted exorbinant fees from Betfair which would mean the commission charged on markets here would be 10%+. The reason why NRL are quite bullish in regards to playing on despite the virus is they self-admittedly are desperate for cash and nearly broke. No wonder they tried to shake down the bookmaking industry!

something to do with the sportsbook not being offered to aussies I tihnk, not 100% sure tho
