Wales -17 and also -10 on 2nd half cap. Despite the changes I still think Wales will have far too much quality about them. Italy may make a game of it for 65 mins or so but can see them blowing out big late in the second half. (Welsh have quality on the bench too). Staying out of England v France for now. |

England beat Ireland largely due to their physicality, intense gain line tackling and dealing efficiently with the high
ball. Can Scotland do the same? I think the answer is no, and Ireland's defence will probably be able to cope with what Scotland can throw at them. The Scottish back 3 will be bombarded whereas Ireland have Kearney back at full back. Still don't know why Henshaw got the gig last week? Bizarre. Italy/Wales is intriguing and the most interesting thing for me is how long can Gatland avoid using the bench? Most people think Gatland has taken quite a risk with selection and Italy can sometimes be mighty tricky at home. 18 points seems a a big start to me. |
