They tried the same with handicap markets before the last world cup. It failed miserably.
It's clearly the idea of someone who has no grasp on how the Exchange works but who thinks it'll be a road paved with riches for BF. One of these days they will wake up and realise that diluting already limited liquidity further is a bad thing rather than a good thing. |

Think they work on the philosophy the more markets the better,in reality its not the case
By:
I often have to message them to get a basic halftime/fulltime market setup which should be on a minimum default of a required number of markets for each live game.

I see the ridiculous handicap list is in evidence for today's England v Argentina game. Takes a full 5 seconds to refresh for me, even on Gruss.... Juan kerrs.

642 different lines. How dumb are these people???
By:
have complained again to betfair about this again today. Impossible to use, cant see where any money might be
Old system of 3 or 4 separate points lines markets and same with handicaps worked much better. |
By:
Completely agree, Mate. I didn't bet on the HCs at all in that match for the simple reason it's unworkable on Gruss.
By:
I believe the reason is so that they can provide their own liquidity at the current bookies line, but far too many lines regardless and no good for trading
By:
There should be more people working for Betfair who realise how an exchange works.

Incredible comeback for Gloucester this evening against Saracens .. who had 78% possession in the 1st half !
By:
The market seemed much more in tune to the likelihood of the comeback than I was (though I did think Gloucester were big pre-KO - I certainly didn't at HT!). Could easily have properly done my nuts, instead of just moderately!

seems betfair totally ignored us again this weekend. Same scroll markets.

Geez, I see what everyone is talking about, it's terrible. For some reason, the world is full of people with the insane attitude: "if it's not broke, let's see what we can do to break it"

The sole reason I avoided the England match this afternoon.

Shocking. Just complained again but no plan to revert back to the old style. Barely touched the handicap markets since they made the change
By:
Totally agree with sentiments here have spoilt these markets imo no chance of getting 1.0 something matched now and hence the incentive to use them gone
By:
Looks like half time result going too now unless complain
By:
If they want to leave it there, they should re-introduce 1 or 2 handicap / over/under markets per match also while also keeping the all-lines markets. This is done for soccer with years on the total goals

Shocking change by betfair. Ruined handicap markets

Half time result missing from six nations too just can’t see why need to get rid of it
