Biggest rugby shock you ever saw? Thanks for putting it in context for me. I live 10 minutes walk from Twickenham stadium but I barely know a scrum from a line out and as for offside or penalties, it's all Greek to me. I watched the last 30 minutes of the Japan game though and it was very exciting. Maybe this tournament will make a convert of me.

Have to agree. There may have been bigger handicap starts that went on to win a game, but in terms of high level rugby that has to be the biggest shock ever.

Some half-wit on the BBC site was trying to compare the result with the biggest shocks in sport..
He/she/it came up with Wimbledon beating Liverpool in the FA Cup Final..
Shows what freaks post on there as I backed Wimbledon at 40/1 to win the FA Cup before round three and they were fifth in the League..
Japan were any price before the game.....
Biggest shock in sport since Buster beat Mike Tyson...

Wimbledon would not have been 6/1 to win the FA Cup outright when they reached the final and were fifth in the League..
Japan were top priced at 70/1 to win at that Oirish firm of knockers and chancers..

Just before KO, there was nothing offered on SA, all the 1.01 had been hoovered up already. I can't remember what Japan were but they definitely traded at 400 (some 420) in-play.
