Watched the Munster vs Edinburgh match second half .  Munster owned the ball despite their scrum not looking great  , if Edinburgh had more of the ball they would have won easily . Kicking from both sides was very average  , placed and from the hand .

Well, it was Brendan Fanning a journalist who broke the leak and if you read carefully what he said;

“A senior source....... denied that a senior player had been accused in the document, which he said was updated on a weekly basis, of being on “a gravy train”, and that another was classed as “mentally weak”.”

So he isn't quoting what was in it, rather denying what was rumoured to be in it.  Which is a bit naughty and he has been blamed for 'sexing thing up'.  There have been further denials that these phrases were used.

Now, it wont surprise you that Fanning is a Leinster man, and already out of favour amongst the Munster faithful for his perceived  journalistic bias, long before this story broke.

There is a school of thought that says this story should never have been leaked. Irish rugby is quite an old fashioned,closed shop, and in days gone by this would have been covered up.  Whether that's possible is this day of social media is another
question.

Axel has Fanning in his cross hairs and says rather menacingly that 'the matter will be dealt with in time'.

Meanwhile, I believe the guy who sent the email is no longer involved with Munster.
