Big game tonight on Sky... who do you fancy? I think Saints will be there or thereabouts personally this year and Warrington without two of their better players of last year in Briers and Hodgson might find things tougher this year. I think Saints will get off to a winning start, what do you think?

I thought initially that was 1.65 was massive.

However, that Warrington side is pretty weak - especially upfront where they have lost three of their five props from last year. Add in Brett Hodgson and Lee Briers, and they do look weak.

That said, I am not convinced by Saints or Nathan Brown so who knows.

Tough to have much of an opinion here pre.  I'll go in with levels and see what the action brings.

Took 13/8 on the outright for Saints and 4/1 James Roby anytime try scorer.

Scratch game in my book. Saints have won 8 of their last 9 games down here. Wire in transition. Best wait and see if Gaz o Brien starts, if not Micky Monaghan will step in, which would make it Wire with the start on the handicap, as he was pretty much knackered all last season and was only given a new contract to keep his brother happy. Which leads to Wire 2nd problem, who will kick to the corners? Throw in Riley's inability to defend a kick, then I can see a long night for us.

The halfback situation will be our problem all season, unless Grinner brings in someone decent to partner O' Brien, or moves the best hb at the club out of left centre and back to his correct position.

Monaghan starts at half-back with Myler.

I think I'm in agreement about the scratch game. Warrington's bench looks awful and they've got a lot of changes overall, particularly Monaghan for Briers being a real problem. Quite fancy Saints at these prices.

A left edge of Percival, Swift and Manu is the weakest defensively in the league.

Twonky - no offence but Saints winning 8 of 9 is one of the most irrelevant stats you could ever see. Sean Long and Paul Sculthorpe v Graham Appo and Daryl Cardiss has no relevance on tonight's game.

Moaner,

Horses for courses....we are now fugged. No creativity in the backs.

Agree the Warrington team looks seriously depleted - Ben Evans, Laithwaite and Glen Riley are Championship level players but the backs don't look too bad - except for a genuine halfback.

Backs look like good runners of the ball, but as Twonky says there's no real creativity to spark them. I think Saints pack gets them on top here, and if the starting bunch don't do enough it should be a lopsided contest when the bench come on. Roby back and fit is a massive boost, they missed him a hell of a lot last year.

I can see Roby having a field day at the play the ball.

Showing my face again although I'll be in and out because of the darts.

Had a small bet on St Helens. Given that I know nothing about the game and that beginners always win, you should follow that in ;)

Not that odd given how last season went.

What a cracking surface that looks given recent weather everywhere.

F*ck it I've done Roby anytime as well. Can see him having a big season this time round if injury free.
