Some really good yoofs at Connacht these days, I like Marmion a lot, and bringing in players like Craig Clarke wont hurt. Can't really work out how they got him.
By:
Hodgson 1 from 4 so far. It is looking a little one-sided for a 7pt game.
By:
the missed tackle stats could look ugly for connacht. hodgson's kicking keeping them in touch though, just
By:
Is Duncan Taylor likely to start for Scotland this six-nations northanlite? He's not exactly the finished article, but he can certainly pick a line.
And nobody can tell me he is not a better option than De Luca. |
By:
he's as good as any other candidate for the 13 shirt. the whole de luca thing is a mystery & requires a police investigation. it must be a case of blackmail
By:
red surely
By:
At best that is ridiculously clumsy, at worst it's a very easy red card decision.
By:
send the b*stard off
By:
cop out
By:
NOT CLEAR? WHAT? CLEAR AS DAY
By:
I think the clear bit is referring to how intentional it was, because it can't be to do with where his foot lands. Bloody obvious it hit his face.
Bit of a cop out really, could have been red just for stupidity. |
By:
I was going to say that Hodges has reffed his first competent half of rugby in his career until that.
By:
Obviously a red
not much more to say really |
By:
Sarries looking poor for a 1.01 shot.
By:
Could have easily been a penalty try there. Connacht loosing their discipline here and without that they don't have a prayer.
By:
"not clear and obvious to the face"..was the conclusion of the TMO, RM.
By:
Well, in that case he's completely blind.
I'm not sure where the dividing line between an accidental contact and showing due care lies, but I think it's fair to say that Connacht are lucky not to be down to 14 permanently. |
By:
Why doesnt the m0r0n stop the clock when reviewing the handbags after the try ?
Nearly 3 minutes of the sin binning eaten up while the TMO watched replays FFS. |
By:
Because after 40 minutes is up it really doesn't make a jot of difference.
By:
he had 3 goes at rucking a man with the ball nowhere in sight RM and at one point I think he had both feet off the ground
he made contact with the face |
By:
I imagine what saved him was that he started off rucking Barritt's body, but the last one hit the face.
That and the fact that the ref and TMO were too scared to show a red. |
By:
Erm, lovely try from Sarries, but does anyone fancy making a tackle?
By:
Rugby Man you are completely wrong about the sin binning.
The match clock and the sin bin clock run until the half time whistle blows, not when the game reaches 40 minutes. You can see both of them on screen. The ref let time run throughout the replay and it eventually reached 44:41, with the sin bin down to just a shade over 2 minutes. This will be clearly visible on screen when the second half starts. |
By:
On the clock on the TV screen yes, but fortunately whoever keeps an eye on the actual game-clock knows what's going on.
By:
If that hadn't been the case we might have got to see Mark McCall actually explode with fury at some point.
By:
For a man who runs sideways a lot, Alex Goode is having a hell of a lot of joy against this shoddy Connacht defence.
By:
Why not a penalty try Hodges? Only illegality prevented a try there.
By:
That's a relief. Thought I might get done on the long handicap due entirely to shocking place-kicking.
By:
Deary me, this is really embarrassing now.
By:
So maybe 1.01 was right after all
![]() |
By:
Seems like a blinding price right now!
And to think this could have been worse if the ref had any balls. |
By:
10 tries. Blimey.
By:
Stuart Hogg having a cracking game here. Dancing past people on a wet pitch.
Kind of feel like unders was a good price whatever the line though. |
By:
this game was about 1/4 to be called off earlier in the week. amazed they managed to get the pitch playable
By:
Took the covers off an hour ago, but it makes you wonder if the covers they had on were waterproof.
Come on Glasgee, get a score on the board. |
By:
Blues having a mare. Exeter up 13-0
By:
this fijian lock is a bit of a weak link for glasgow at the moment
By:
I thought he was fantastic when he came on against Cardiff, but I think it's fair to say these are not his ideal conditions....
By:
Good decision JP, not a great deal of effort to stay legal by toulon in that move.
