Don't see a match thread so were we go.. Can't split these two but Wales injuries will hamper them. End of a long season for AUS and wonder how much they really want this. Wales record vs SH teams is dire - no win vs AUS since 2008!
Going to bet on draw results ht/ft and some exact margins Wales by 2 and Aus by 3
Dunno Injera, for me Australia were much the better team in that half. Wales got some iffy decisions, scored that one breakout try, but other than that it was Australia breaking through time after time.
And Biggar is off for the next however many minutes.

As a trade, Oz has to be a lay. Every chance Wales get an early pen second half and all of a sudden the momentum shifts...
Agreed, Oz look very likely to win after 80 mins..

If it was the continent CC they would have NZ players to chose from as well. Don't reckon it would be 16-17 in that case.
Need more intensity from Wales second half. They're going to struggle to defend this Aussie backline, but up front they should be putting on more pressure and grinding Australia down.

Missing kicks at goal is going to happen sometimes, nobody can hit 90% forever. What would concern me from a Welsh point of view is 2 pens missing touch. Priestland did that for a whole season, last year? or the year before, and chances to win games went down the pan. Absolutely criminal to miss touch completely.

Very strange that he seemed to pass up the penalty from halfway, just after he hit the post, and then let Biggar take the next penalty from much closer in

I think the hands are fine and you can see the ball curve forwards on the replay.
Don't think you can disallow those, or we would be seeing a lot of games finish 12-9 in future.

Because referees get to see the big screen, put that together with what they saw live, and make a decision if they want to.
It takes the decision out of the hands of video refs, who tend to be either completely useless or sporadically useless.

How different was that to the times that we have seen Australia 5 yards out in this game?
Phillips is a clueless buffoon, but none of the carries looked like they were going to do anything and everyone is standing still instead of hitting onto the ball. Watch Australia at any ruck and at least 1 forward is hammering a line, giving a chance of making yardage.

I fully agree that this is a game that would suit Tipuric, but if you go for that extra mobility you lose out on some physicality and Wales are struggling as it is in that respect.

Here we go, 69 minutes into a game that has been open as hell and possession often leads to points.
So Phillips box-kicks straight to Cooper with Wales 4pts down.

Have you checked out the long-running argument about that Sewter? Apparently Ireland were right to kick the ball away, to the best team in the world, with not much time on the clock......
60% of the time, it works every time......

It's getting very difficult to make excuses for Wales at the moment. It's not like they aren't good enough to win these games, or at least one every now and then, but they manage to lose time after time after time and show an extraordinary level of braindeadedness (it's a word) to do so.
Hell of a match, but yet another NH loss that could have been a win.
