I spoke to them and they wanted £12 per box.

I have 2.
Report curious-cat July 22, 2013 9:56 PM BST
per month.
Report Cha-Ching July 24, 2013 11:11 AM BST
Seriously? Per box?

Was that thru Sky? Or BT?
Report furrelli July 24, 2013 1:25 PM BST
yes & it's FREE for me - as ive got BT broadband. As for the ESPN coverage, it ooks like ESPN & ESPN america have formed into 1 channel from the 1st August so not sure how much there covering as yet?
Report 1.01 Layer July 24, 2013 1:25 PM BST
Thru Sky it's £12 pm per box.
Report Eeternaloptimist July 24, 2013 6:02 PM BST
Same as furrelli. Bonus because I've already got BT.
Report lustrumm July 27, 2013 3:11 PM BST
yeah guys but is that to watch online or via Sky. Streaming live via the Internet not the same imo even if you do hook it up to your TV screen.
Report curious-cat July 27, 2013 6:30 PM BST
most rugby matches will be shown at 2.30 on Saturdays ...

I am awaiting news of American Football.
Report Eeternaloptimist July 27, 2013 11:46 PM BST
Via Sky lustrumm.
Report GRANTCKING July 28, 2013 5:47 PM BST
yeh, subscribed the day it came out as I get it for free, doesnt look like theyre keeping espn america tho, which is a bummer
Report GRANTCKING July 28, 2013 5:47 PM BST
not sure if they will be showing the ncaa football as it was normally on ch426 espn america
Report lustrumm July 29, 2013 8:42 PM BST
So if we have BT as our ISP we will get BT Sports for free through our SKy Box once we register. Thanks for that folks
Report TheVis July 30, 2013 7:50 AM BST
I just hope this doesn't become another Premier Sports and kill the betting on the Aviva.  Can't imagine it will be that bad.  Will be interesting to see if any better than ESPN was.  Their games were always of less betting interest than the Sky ones in terms of numbers on here.
Report furrelli July 30, 2013 12:16 PM BST
BT Sports fixtures are already out Viz, have a look at the Aviva premeirship site, they'll be mostly showing 3 games a weekend, one on each day & looks so far to be covering the top sides as per last seasons finishing positions.
Report Latalomne July 30, 2013 1:10 PM BST
I've had a second BT phone line sitting there 'just in case' for about 12 years.  Never used it, but since I was already paying for ESPN and line rental anyway, it seemed logical to take out a BT Broadband subscription (saves me having to compete with my son for the connection out here in the sticks!) for about a fiver per month more....
Report TheVis July 30, 2013 2:49 PM BST
I know they have decent fixtures Furrelli.  My concern is that a lot less people will subscribe compared to Sky and therefore less will bet.
Report furrelli July 31, 2013 11:45 AM BST
Understood Viz & going on previous entities that have competed with Sky, but I think the offer of the FREE package with BT Internet Broadband may pull in more punters than what ESPN ever did plus there will be 3 sport channels from the get-go & it looks a wider range of sports than previous incarnations like espn & setanta. I think it might jus work. Also they have ALL the Aviva rugby unlike espn which had only a % & so could be swerved. here's hoping anyways. it also looks like American sports will be continuing on ESPN as they're scheduled to show MLB throu August for those that are interested.

As for Rugby hope yous fellahs like wathcing Bath/Saints/Tigers/Sarries & Quinns with Glaws jus behind as they get the lions share of programming up to the Autumn Internationals. Irish & Chiefs only on twice each Sad
Report curious-cat July 31, 2013 12:26 PM BST
tbh I'm more interested in the RABO PRO DIRECT than the premiership

if BT would let us know about AMERICAN FOOTBALL partibularly College football I'll subscribe for those months on one box

This week BT are showing premiership 7's but it's not covered by betfair ....... I'm glad I didn't rush in and subscribe.

BT Sad
Report GRANTCKING August 1, 2013 12:16 AM BST
RIP ch426, just a black screen now, looks like college amercian football, college basketball and mlb are no more
Report curious-cat August 1, 2013 12:29 AM BST
also BT'S tennis coverage appears both to match Eurosport's coverage.

both this week - Southern California

and next - Rogers Cup from Toronto
Report furrelli August 1, 2013 10:23 AM BST
Grant as i said in an earlier post MLB IS on ESPN throu August & it's likely so will other american sports as the channels espn & espn america have amalgamated.
Report curious-cat August 1, 2013 11:37 PM BST
furrrellli Grin

It would be nice to get an idea of how much and whether it's just NFL though
Report furrelli August 2, 2013 12:13 PM BST
Laugh What & not make it up as they go along like!

They defo got MLB as per listings for TV guides. Might be worth dropping them an e-mail or giving them a call, keep 'em on their toes like, glad I got BT broadband already cause tbh i would likely not purchase. As for NFL it's bttr to go with NFL Gamepass, far superior package these days for the american footy conaseour

Sky sports have NFL.

Im with Furrelli, i pay for NFL game pass and also MLB.TV. Shame the premier league can't do something similar and i could do away with cable tv all together ;-)

NCAAF will still suffer though wont it?
ESPN like to show Scottish football and random European games on a Saturday afternoon/evening (as if there's not enough football)
The triple header days will surely be over.
Report curious-cat August 3, 2013 9:39 AM BST
the much trumpeted coverage of WTA by BT is proving to be a damp squib.
Report Monstrous Bryan August 15, 2013 12:38 PM BST
Virgin media have finally sorted this out, my XL package was on the way to cancellation......

Just in time for the Top 14 kick off tomorrow evening. Should be a good one with Monty v Toulon (fancy Monty to beat a -2 cap). Looks like Biarritz v Clermont is on ESPN on Sat too. Can't find much info past this though - anyone know how many T14 games they are planning to show?
Report furrelli August 15, 2013 11:12 PM BST
likely 2 games a w/end until Aviva starts at least then hopefully we'll get the T14 late saturday night game LIVE
Report TheVis August 16, 2013 7:53 AM BST
Now that Virgin are playing ball a good few people will have BF Sport by default.  Might even get some level of interest in the Top 14 games for the first time.
Report furrelli August 16, 2013 3:37 PM BST
Jus to update, i e-mailed them a week ago (bt) wrt sports they'll be showing in the future (eg T14 rugby, international rugby, baseball, college football to name some) apart from what theyve already advertised - premeirship football, aviva rugby & wta plus MORE football & apart from the initial response within 24hours nothign more.... also the ESPN site no longer has listings.... apparently since the launch of BT sport, the BT workers are really busy but they'll get back to me within 14 days, of course I could go to the FAQ section of BT sports which tells me they've got........ Bless 'em!
Report vickersa1 August 16, 2013 3:46 PM BST
For information for in-play investors, the pictures on my PC through BT fast broadband (not Infinity) for the Cambridge v Halifax football game last Sunday early pm were 3-5 seconds behind real time (I knew someone at the ground who I called a couple of times in play).
I have no idea whether that will be typical or not
