So I know they have a man in the bin currently, but have they had a man sent off ? That might explain the price Shocked
Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 9:53 AM BST
Yep.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 9:53 AM BST
It was a pen for sure, but this is Pollock reffing and that means that the whistle bears no relevance to what actually happens.
Report stewardsenquirey July 13, 2013 9:54 AM BST
Just seen the Red card top left corner.
Schoolboy error by myself Laugh
Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 9:55 AM BST
TBF, it's gone from 1.12 since you commented to 1.24, so......  Laugh
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 9:55 AM BST
Blues flanker sent off in the first half stewards. They've been the better side for the most part though.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 9:56 AM BST
Second breakaway that they simply haven't looked like converting. Keep it in play, find a support man and run them off their legs.
Report stewardsenquirey July 13, 2013 9:57 AM BST
Thanks RM.
Gonna be some tired Blue's legs last 10.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 9:59 AM BST
Straight in at the side of that maul and none of the officials interested.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 10:00 AM BST
And then the Blues give it straight back!

What a killer that is. Work so hard and then Williams just completely fluffs it.
Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 10:02 AM BST
If they bombed that they want shooting
Report ray12 July 13, 2013 10:03 AM BST
wouldn't be over concerned to be playing chiefs next week   they have been poor
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 10:03 AM BST
Have they blown that????

Incredible to not score there. Takes some sort of dedication to the cause to **** up with so many extra players.
Report hotch1234 July 13, 2013 10:05 AM BST
Blues have given everything to stay in this game.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 10:06 AM BST
They have, and yet by rights they should be well out of it. Chiefs keep bombing these walk-ins and making stupid errors.
Report hotch1234 July 13, 2013 10:08 AM BST
I can see the Chiefs scoring a couple before the end.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 10:11 AM BST
This is getting ridiculous. Thats another great chance completely fluffed.
Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 10:11 AM BST
Are you on the -18.5 like myself, per chance, RM?!
Report stewardsenquirey July 13, 2013 10:11 AM BST
Blues lineout has been poor.
Report hotch1234 July 13, 2013 10:12 AM BST
Why do the chiefs try to score off every phase Crazy
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 10:13 AM BST
I had a few quid on the overs line early in this half with the thinking that tired legs and extra space should equal more tries.

Finishing has been utterly woeful though.
Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 10:16 AM BST
Indeed it has.

I've got a bit of a split position.  Small green Chiefs, bigger green Blues, significantly bigger green draw.  And am effectively on the Chiefs -18.5 at 3/1....  Cry

Report curious-cat July 13, 2013 10:22 AM BST
in view of playing with 13 and 14 I thought the Blues were the better team.

no wonder the Chiefs ship so many tries ... there tackling can be woeful.

I see the rebels have released Beale today (as well as o connor )   fair play to them   if players can not accept the club culture and ethics their undoubted  individual talent and international backgrounds count for little     Maybe Bath should snap them up as company for Gav H
Report Monstrous Bryan July 13, 2013 10:32 AM BST
Really fancy Warratah in ths next game. Genia and Horwill not playing - I think a win will mean they get to play Crusaders in NZ too, a loss and it looks like they will get the Brumbies in Oz. Gotta be in their minds
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 10:33 AM BST
Cuts down dramatically on wage bill as well getting rid of O'Connor and Beale

Daft signings in the first place. Force had no sort of pack, needed to sign heavily in that area, so bought two full-backs who wanted to be fly-halves instead.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 10:34 AM BST
Waratahs have nothing at all to play for though, that's always a bit of an issue.

Saying that, if the Reds are thinking the same thing then it levels out.

Certainly looked forward from the angle we get to see.

So much for two good defensive teams though.
Report curious-cat July 13, 2013 11:04 AM BST
because Walsh didn't see the forward pass the Reds had to knock it on

Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 11:09 AM BST
If you are going to run sideways so a fat front-row can line you up that's whats going to happen.

Standard of refereeing in this comp is absurd. Purely farcical decision.

Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 11:22 AM BST
Quade Cooper showing the world how impressive he can be. For the opposition.

When he is forced to kick it will get even worse......
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 11:23 AM BST
There's the abysmal kick. Wasn't even forced!
Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 11:24 AM BST
I'm not a Cooper fan, RM.  Couldn't really understand why people were suggesting he was so much better than O'Connor.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 11:26 AM BST
He can be. On his best days he's the best in the world. He has never ever had a good day without Genia beside him though.

On his worst days he's an enormous liability and you would be better off with Ceri Sweeney at 10.
Report curious-cat July 13, 2013 11:28 AM BST
surely Cooper doesn't want to win.
Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 11:53 AM BST

Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 11:56 AM BST
If there is any consistency at all Ulugia goes off here.

His first yellow was an absolute farce, but compared to that one this is a stone cold certainty for a card.

Which means they wont give it..........

Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 11:58 AM BST
So what do you have to do to get a card? Punching doesn't count. Tackling people legally is a yellow though.
Report Monstrous Bryan July 13, 2013 11:59 AM BST
Lol at Walsh
Report TheVis July 13, 2013 11:59 AM BST
I am starting to buy into the theory here that the reds do not want to win - too many obvious errors coming up to keep them away from NZ next time
Report ray12 July 13, 2013 11:59 AM BST

Awful game of rugby.

penalty at scrum to tahs   ?
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 12:08 PM BST
Walsh had a word with the scrum half at half time to say stop putting the ball under the no.8s feet.

Why do you need to talk about that, is there not a whistle for that?
Report ray12 July 13, 2013 12:08 PM BST

Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 12:22 PM BST
Doesn't look like a try. Probably should give it anyway to reward some effort, it's not like they can possibly score otherwise.

I've found the route to profits here though - back unders and wait for utter **** rugby.

Report Latalomne July 13, 2013 1:33 PM BST
Was that Lumpy at 1.21, BTW?
Report Kriskin July 13, 2013 1:38 PM BST
Force a very BIG price at 1.94 leading 14 - 3 @ HT.  Brumbies are lacking energy.  Brumbies have nothing really to play for in this match.  3rd place is sealed.  Makes sense to me to go in big on the Force.
Report Kriskin July 13, 2013 1:38 PM BST

Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 4:38 PM BST
Always seemed unlikely that these two would produce a slow low-scoring game.
Report Cha-Ching July 13, 2013 4:45 PM BST
I think the maul rules need looking at with as much urgency as the scrum rules. Currently there is no way of stopping these 'flying wedge' mauls if the referee allows the 'splinter group' to continue claiming it's the same maul.
Report RugbyMan July 13, 2013 4:51 PM BST
I think you are right, although there is another maul law that I would place higher on the list to look at. Not rolling away from mauls may have come from sense, i.e. they can be pile-ups, but it makes the choke tackle and negative play in general such an appealing prospect for defences as they all pile in, then pile on top.

No easy job being a law-maker.
