That is useless from Kear
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 5:56 PM BST
Sammut needs to spark second 40.  Brad have nothing else on the pitch.
Report The real Moaner May 26, 2013 5:59 PM BST
It's not all over yet.
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 6:15 PM BST
Of course not but I am holding out little hope.  Bar the chalk off Brad have offered zero near the line. Very one dimensional.
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 6:25 PM BST
That's poor....
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 6:32 PM BST
I think the Bulls could stay out there all day without scoring.
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 6:33 PM BST
I was thinking the same thing earlier about Widnes, but the difference is that Bradford are playing a team who can tackle. Very well.
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 6:35 PM BST
They're sh1tting themselves any time they get in the final 10.
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 6:36 PM BST
Hallelujah
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 6:37 PM BST
Done well there. Impossible to go through this Hudds team physically, so you have to try your luck other ways.
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 6:51 PM BST
Hudds definitely a proper team this year then.

Hope the next game is a bit more interesting.
Report Rhino-2k8 May 26, 2013 7:20 PM BST
Wigan by as many as they want, We have no go forward without Delaney & Peacock.
Report The Priest May 26, 2013 7:33 PM BST
Wigan wear Red and Leeds in Pink

These buffoons couldnt run a p!ss up in a brewery

And correct me if i'm wrong are not Leeds the home team??
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 7:37 PM BST
Not great, but a long way from the worst kit clash we've seen. No idea why Leeds aren't wearing their home kit.
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 7:46 PM BST
McIllorum at it again. Not the worst thing we've ever seen, but clearly illegal. There seems to be a massive range of things in superleague that you can do to cause damage to opponents with only a penalty as punishment.
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 7:54 PM BST
amazing how different a side can look in 6 days
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 7:57 PM BST
what a great ball from Tompkins - love the camera angle on that
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 7:58 PM BST
Wigan are so good in those situations. Really made Leeds work, then swung it wide and found an extra man easily.

Vickery caught wandering YET again.
Report Dr.Cypionate May 26, 2013 8:01 PM BST
about time wigan stepped up
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:02 PM BST
This is quite tasty.

Well, thats an extraordinary finish.
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 8:10 PM BST
astonishing finish

easily the game of the weekend so far
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 8:11 PM BST
Not up against much from what i've seen today Vis, but this is a cracker for sure.
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:11 PM BST

Report STEPTOES YARD May 26, 2013 8:11 PM BST
what a try that is
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 8:11 PM BST
3 defenders on him and he still found room for the ball carrying arm

excellent stuff from this game
Report Dr.Cypionate May 26, 2013 8:11 PM BST
wigan are fkin terrible here
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:15 PM BST
Ryan Bailey is a cok.
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 8:16 PM BST
McIllorum had his go, so now Bailey has to top him for dangerous stupidity.

2pts lost from having a complete buffoon on your team. Sad.

dammit - second time this weekend a team has let a try in on the buzzer
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:18 PM BST
Concussion can be the only explanation for that....
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 8:20 PM BST
could so easily have been 12-14 at HT
Report The real Moaner May 26, 2013 8:22 PM BST
Yep but 1.2 for Wigan at HT is WAY too short.
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:24 PM BST
Having laid quite a lot at 1.3 and only managed to shift about a fifth of it at 3.75, I hope you're right, Moaner!
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 8:27 PM BST
Draw trading lower with the favs 8pts ahead than it was at 0-0
Report Rhino-2k8 May 26, 2013 8:31 PM BST
Rhinos will only get weaker with their young forwards tiring and McDermott's criminal under use of McShane with Burrow, Sinfield & McGuire all in terrible form.
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 8:33 PM BST
McShane must be getting bored on the bench. Easily good enough to start for most Superleague teams, but rarely seems to get a go at Leeds. Real wasted talent at the moment.
Report Rhino-2k8 May 26, 2013 8:36 PM BST
He's been in superb form this season and when he gets a real run going McDermott limits his minutes or drops him, I agree the way Widnes form picked up last season when he joined was no surprise, That rated him massively there.

Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:40 PM BST
Right I'm effectively on the draw at 11 and Rhinos at 2.26  Laugh
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 8:41 PM BST
Well I certainly don't think Widnes have improved for losing McShane and gaining Brown, for all Eddie's talk of "Marquee signing" (possibly because he's as much use as a big tent).
Report Rhino-2k8 May 26, 2013 8:47 PM BST
McShane comes on and instantly has a hand in a Try...
Report TheVis May 26, 2013 8:48 PM BST

Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:48 PM BST

what has happened to Sinfield's kicking this season?  He hardly ever used to miss
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 8:51 PM BST
I could get rid of the red now, Vis, but I hate laying the draw at double figures.
Report Dr.Cypionate May 26, 2013 8:52 PM BST

worst trade I did all season was laying off most of my green in Ire v Fra 6N at about 30 - hell knows what I was thinking that day Shocked
Report Dr.Cypionate May 26, 2013 8:56 PM BST

Leeds will be f*cked come Friday. That's 3 games in a short period.
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 8:59 PM BST
Leeds are certainly riding their luck here. Silverwood never seems to show any bollocks when teams are constantly messing around.

Report STEPTOES YARD May 26, 2013 9:01 PM BST
these pens keeping leeds in it, only way look like getting good field position
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 9:01 PM BST
That's a pen, yet too cases of killing an attack by 2 or 3 efforts at a clearly completed tackle aren't.

Only a matter of time.  Leeds look dead/
Report RugbyMan May 26, 2013 9:08 PM BST
I kind of agree with the comms, but when there is a hand on the ball and it comes flying out how can it sometimes be a pen and sometimes a knock-on? Makes for such ridiculously fine lines.
Report Latalomne May 26, 2013 9:12 PM BST

Fair play to Wigan.

The only proper match of the weekend as it turned out.
Report uncle nasty May 26, 2013 11:48 PM BST
the best  team won, wigan made fewer mistakes and lacked a bailey. however the McGuire try being disallowed, was on a par with the whiffy hull decision yesterday. that was not an obstruction, either technically(if you look at the direction of the wigan players movement, or in the spirit of the law)and in any other game would not have been looked at. if the refs are going to be picky why no sending off for the early shoulder charge? or no penalty for the soon  following play the balls ( or not)
leaves a bad taste
wtf is going on?
Report TheVis May 27, 2013 8:41 AM BST
The Hull decision stands out on its own as a clear mistake and is not on the same level at all.

The Leeds one was called in the box by Cummings and the TMO also came to same conclusion, so I don't have a major issue with it.
Report vickersa1 May 27, 2013 1:30 PM BST
I reckon this might have been the last "Magic" weekend. It must cost close to the gate receipts to hire the ground for 2 days, the chances of attracting sponsors must be damaged when they see one of the showpiece events in a stadium which is rarely more than a quarter full, and most of the matches were largely meaningless due the ridiculous structure of RL (at least they are supposedly doing something about that). What is the point of Salford v Widnes, or Leeds v Wigan for that matter. The only "interest" is around whther teams get in the top 8, and how interesting is that for most people. Not a lot.

Luckily we've got a refereeing decision to distract attention from the state of SL ....
Report STEPTOES YARD May 27, 2013 7:54 PM BST
Not sure, looked a healthy enough crowd.

Think it will be back next year.
Report TheVis May 28, 2013 8:15 AM BST
I think just a couple of double headers in the summer, one in Manchester, one in Leeds might be a better way to go - similar to what RU does at the start of the season with the London clubs.  The whole MM weekend concept is looking a bit long winded and as a fan who has attended there is not really that much interest in sitting through 3 or 4 games back to back.  Even for the most die hard RL fans that is too long a stint.
Report Latalomne May 28, 2013 8:35 PM BST
As a punter, having seven matches to bet on live over the weekend was awesome and I wish we could have that every week!
Report Anybody help May 28, 2013 10:02 PM BST
Having attended for the first time this year, how anybody can crab the magic concept is beyond me? I watched 3 games on the Sunday and really enjoyed all of em. The standard and intensity clearly cranked up a notch for each game and it was a fantastic event. Havong watched on the television on the Staurday im amazed there wasnt larger disparity in the crowds each day?

There seemed to be significantly more there on Sunday than Saturday. The RFL sure makes mistakes but this isnt one of them. If the fans arent prepared to get behind it and turn up, maybe the game gets what it deserves. I reckon out of the 30000 that were there on Sunday half were Wigan fans even though the 5000 Leeds fans that were there made considerably more noise.
Report uncle nasty May 29, 2013 9:16 PM BST
vis, if the video refs are going to technically super picky, when will they disallow tries that come from a scrum fed to second row?(which ridiculously is all of them) now that will be interesting to see.
Report Scribes May 30, 2013 3:29 PM BST
The Hull/KR decision at the weekend was totally disgraceful.  You can forgive a ref on the pitch for giving a wrong decision but not a Video ref!  How could he have not seen it! Crazy It cost me and I'm still fuming now.  Even if I didn't have money on it I would still be angry.  The video ref should be demoted.  It was clearly offside as pointed out by the tators.  What was his thinking or logic Scared.  I'm not an expert on RL but even I could see it was offside! Ruined an otherwise good weekened.  No Magic for meAngry
Report Ldee May 30, 2013 7:21 PM BST
£4.20 a pint (£3.60 for city home games), families been refused in with drinks and food (allowed last year). I won't be going again, I just hate been ripped off. Then again I'm a Wakey fan so no amount off field distractions could made it a good weekend.
