PP going 1/1 Glasgow +10 makes some appeal. as there was not much between them in the recent game at the RDS. i would rather have that then a similar cap on Scarlets tonight.
it is a bit of a gamble from glasgow dropping jackson to the banch. i do think horne is the better 10 but his goal kicking is very suspect while even though hogg kicked a couple well last week putting him up as front line kicker is a risk, although he is cocky enough to handle it.

PP have an offer on for the Aviva and Rabo semis, double your 1st tryscorer odds if they score another try. Pienaar is 17.0 and Williams is 13.0. Scarlets conceded two tries to the big Treviso back row last week, big boy Williams has gotta be eyeing up that tryline. Piennar scored one last week

no yellow card for a blatant deliberate knock on a yard from the line ...
blatant lying on the wrong side of a ruck with no attempt to move and no penalty

yep cat he decided very early who was going to win this game and as you said bizarre that he should have even been reffing it
did the Scarlets have a say in the appointment?
perhaps England can have their own ref next year against Wales to give them a chance

seems strange rolland was ref for that match when for the other semi they have appointed a french ref who, although has done pro 12 before, usually does top 14 matches.

i think glasgow match up very well man for man v leinster. grant, strauss, matawalu & barclay have been outstading during the season but home ad is so vital here i could see leinster just nicking it. hoping for a close one but glasgow have taken a big gamble with the kicking duties so that is the worry. i'm assuming hogg will kick.

2 top try scorers in the league so we could assume points but games just don't work out like that at this stage. i would not be surprised if we did see a few tries tho. hope so

Not a day that you want to be taking a gamble with the kicking duties. It's blowing a gale in Dublin and the RDS is a very exposed ground. Been a few hravy showers, but none for a few hours. The sun is out now and conditions should have dried out a lot in the wind.
I agree that Glasgow match up well against Leinster in most positions, but they are massively outgunned in the 10/12/13 channel and that's where I expect Leinster to capitalise. Going against the grain and taking Leinster on the cap. Conditions were very similar against the Ospreys last weekend when Sexton had a stormer.

i think you may be underestimating horne & dunbar dunc but i do worry about the kicking. if it were me i probably would have gone with jackson although he aint the most solid kicker either

quite like that dth bet. his own tries have dried up a bit lately but he is still playing very well. i think he should be a 13 which is a position he plays very well for canada

It's a crying shame that Weir misses out because the points line looks far too low if there are two reliable kickers on the pitch, even allowing for the wind and possibility of rain.

Should've gone with my gut and points here. Took a small bit, but nothing more. Don't fancy Leinster at all now with BOD gone off, but at least I managed to cover most of that when they had a 3 point leaad.

can't remember last time i saw leinster under this sort of pressure at the RDS. need to turn it into points tho cos leinster will if they get those chances

Exactly what I was thinking nl. Leinster are going to have at least one spell where they convert a chance so need points on the board.
That strike helps and should do his confidence the world of good.

if this goes to script then leinster will come out like demons for the first 10 mins of the 2nd half and try to take the game away from glasgow. all about discipline which has not been great from the away side

Really hope beyond hope that Glasgow can win and not because of my betting position. They really do deserve something from this season, they have played the most exciting rugby in the league by a mile

i'm shellshocked. i just will never understand why when you have your regular goal kicker on the pitch you would give the ball to an occasional kicker. it just beggars belief.

Gotta say though, I never saw that season coming. Townsend has done a good job, a player revolt was probably more likely than what they achieved. They have done the opposite of my expectations, grown as the season has gone on.

It's not just the choice of kicker that is questionable , but the try scorer went over the try line between tired , lumbering forwards and touched down as soon as he could . If he had thought about things he would have done his damnedest to get closer to the posts . IMO

Nl, what are your thoughts on Townsend at season's end? Not saying that to rile you, genuine question as you know you were unhappy in the circumstances that Lineen left. Townsend looks to have taken them to another level...

nah i'm not blaming bennet at all he got the ball down in decent kicking range. the rest was madness. who knows maybe jackson would have missed but he is the first choice goal kicker so why on earth was hogg up at the tee

fair point MB. i was very unhappy the way sean was sidelined and still am. i can't fault townsend though as he has got the side playing with real flair. the core of that side though are lineens team, the lads he brought through like grant, low, murchie, horne, weir, wilson etc etc. he brought through a generation of players that GT has to call on plus they used to play on a very narrow pitch so expansive rugby was impossible. maybe it was time for a change but the way it was done leaves a sour taste and we will never know how far sean could have taken them.

True words, and not trying to provoke here. I suppose it has made his job of crafting easier, and to add to it he's obviously had some money/support floating about with signings like Strauss and Maitland

Matawalu defies logic. He crabs and crabs, but then he's gone or flicks a pass out of the back of his hand and someone else is. He draws defenders like a back row forward.

Heaslip got MOM. Missed the 1st 50 mins but feel gutted for Glasgow that they didnt sneak it in the end, could watch that style of rugby all day long, some of the offloading was unreal.
Analysts on TG4 were saying that Leinster were out on their feet in the last 15 and that there is no way they will be able to win the 2 finals, with only a 6 day break until the Stade game. Joe Schmidt seemed unhappy with the reffing at the scrums in the 2nd half after the subs came on.

if there is a team i wouldn't bet against doing it it is leinster. it is amazing how battle hardened the irish teams have become. when i was growing up they were a "soft touch" (not the players who were hard as nails but the winning mentality) and more than any others steeped in the amateur code. what has happened since has been remarkable.
