Am I going mad by fancying the Force here? They've been going along quite well lately with a win over the Crusaders and a draw against the Reds albeit at home. Of course sandwiched in there was a hiding away at the Brumbies which is always a risk with these guys, but the Chiefs haven't exactly been firing on all cylinders themselves and they're missing Crosswell & Lee from the back row meaning some guy I've never heard of starts at 8 while Nanai Williams, Horrell & Kahui are gone from the backline. Anscombe also comes in for Cruden which may or may not help them. It will probably add some structure but they tend to play 100mph under Cruden. A slower game will help the Force's defence I think as they sometimes get blown away by teams who can put width on the ball quickly. I think the Force backrow is pretty good too (far better than the rest of their team) and with the Chiefs effectively having their 5th and 6th choices playing in the centre combo I think 16 points might be a big start....
morning , kahui will be a big miss but confidence in new back line seems genuine from home side. that said agree handicap high no bet for me before start. whilst acknowledging the seriousness of his problem, had to laugh when an ozzie official described Kurtley beales latest alcohol issue as a mere hiccup !

The ref is a total homer. He called leave it black at a ruck then lets them do whatever they want and the one before that they all piled off their feet and he calls play on. Penalises the Force every chance he gets though.

Force should kick straight to Chiefs wingers everytime. They can't catch or kick, only run and it's not exactly correct conditions for that kind of rugby.

The Chiefs are a horrid side, Force look a different team with Matthewson at 9, a SH who doesn't spend all his time digging it out of a ruck and looking at the ref. Can't believe it is only a 1 pt game. They would be in front if Hayward didn't miss an easy enough conversion in first half!

Joke ray. That's a penalty try more often than not up here. He bottled it by giving the yellow.
Been impressed by Hodgson's captaincy and general play. Cane was clearly impeding him when Latimer went for the line that time.
