Backed no try scorer in Munster v Connacht game, only try scored was a penalty try. How would this market be settled, bearing in mind that there is no price in the market for a penalty try?

If pen try is not a runner in the market then you should be onto a winner as it is like a football own goal and doesn't count in that market.

You will win as PP don't count pen tries in that market.

ive also seen this with bet365, i backed a player to score first try, and it was penalty try...
next try scored was the player i backed and i was a winner :)

You can back no tryscorer in both team and player markets can't you?

So a penalty try would mean that 1 team has scored, but no player has scored. Could make a difference.

If it's in the player market there is no logical reason why it isn't a winner. If you back there not to be a tryscorer (not a try scored, which is different) and nobody scores a try then you've backed a winner. Simple.

Good point RM.  Similar to the no goalscorer bet in footie rather than backing 0-0.  Every so often you will win a bet you otherwise would have lost.

I'm pretty sure a thread has popped up on here at least once before, I'm getting a case of deja vu about this.

Don't fancy trawling through to find the old threads though.

Yes, I think one or two do, and it's the right thing to do if you don't offer 'no tryscorer'. All about what they offer really and if you have backed 'no tryscorer' then of course it is being offered, in which case it should be a winner in the player markets.
