I had a bet on the 2nd April on an in-play market on the NRL Canberra Raiders v North Queensland Total Number of 2nd Half Points Under 41.5pts £350 @ 5/6.

There were a total of 16 points in the second half and when I checked my winnings in my Paddy Power account my £350 bet returned £357, £7 profit.

I queried this and was told it was an error and the price should have been 1/50. I can't understand this, they say it was an error and they can change it to what the trader decides. I then asked what  would the price have been had I had bet on the over 41.5pts market and was told that was also 1/50. I said that is shocking, that can't be right and she said it was correct both should have been 1/50.

I then spoke to a supervisor who said the over price would have been 10/1, blatantly they are just making things up.

Can they actually do this?

You can't seriously have thought it was the right price? If you did and are betting in £350's then I'd be very careful sticking prices in on here Shocked

They've presumably messed up and put the match total points out where the 2nd half totals should go. Every firm has 'palpable error' rules to protect themselves against this - if a price is too good to be true it usually isn't...

So sorry, but they can do this (even though it is their mistake).

Although whoever told you it was 1/50 both sides is taking the piss....

I thought the price was generous but I wouldn't say it was a 1/50 shot! Is it worth taking it up with IBAS or not?

Them paying you the £7 stops that I'd say - all IBAS can do is make them apply their own rules. They would have done this by voiding, but have paid you out at a 'fair price' (in their mind). IBAS can't argue with that, unless it is totally ridiculous...which it isnt.

Be happy with the 7 nicker, obvious palp, save your postage stamps, telephone calls etc.

Surprised you can get 350 on though
