Russia is yet to comment, but US news site Axios reports Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Trump's announcement is "news for me".

"But if Russians agree to an energy ceasefire, Ukraine will agree," he says.

A senior official close to Zelensky has reportedly also told the Financial Times: "Nobody has heard [of it]."

Ukraine are still somewhat dependent upon USA, so specifically taking out fuel production now may already be on the way out.

The bot farms may be continued targets, but
they were likely going to spring into action on mid term duty.

Trump may not like this outcome

Ukraine’s freedom is not President Trump’s to bargain away.

He is wrong to ease sanctions on Russian diesel, wrong to blame President Zelensky for prolonging Putin’s war, and wrong to undermine a nation fighting for its right to exist. Russia is the aggressor. Always has been. Reward Russia, and we should expect to see more aggression, including from other countries. We can also kiss goodbye to any just and lasting peace.

This is why Conservatives have stood with Ukraine against Putin. Ukraine’s future belongs to Ukrainians. They alone have the right to choose their president, and we stand with President Zelensky because he fights not for himself, but for the survival of his country and his people.

Meanwhile :

Next week, following his extradition to Germany and months in isolation in a high security prison, Serhii K will go on trial in Hamburg. He is charged with causing an explosion and a war crime – attacking civilian infrastructure – allegedly acting on behalf of "state agencies of Ukraine".

Both he and his country have denied any involvement, the Germans beg to differ

This is just nonsense lies to grab the narrative from him trying to destroy the court for crimes against humanity.

Russia has continued to bomb Ukrainian power infrastucture and kill Ukrainians overnight.

When a person with dementia talks gibberish or uses nonsensical speech, it is usually a physical result of brain damage affecting language centers, rather than confusion or stubbornness.

Zelensky is very young for dementia but it would explain why he forgot about being told.

I've watched quite a lot of Donald Trump's speeches and white house Q&As and if he was my Dad I'd have him down the GP's.

He is definitely losing it.

Zelensky holding out alone against the russians for 4 and a half long years, what a legend.

No one expected he could hold the russians invasion back for more than a few months.
