Earlier, while answering questions about a Iran, Gaza and a potential united Ireland, Donald Trump was also asked if he spoke to the British Prime Minister Andy Burnham about the Falkland Islands.
"Here we go again," says Trump as he recalls being a young boy when the Falklands War happened.
He says the UK was "a different country at that time" and claims "they went in and they took it over".
"I'm sure I'll be pulled into that potential disaster," he says before insisting if there was an issue in the Falklands he would be able to sort it out.

Shouldn't the re-uniting of the island of Ireland take precedence? You are breaking up nothing except giving up what was taken.
It is genuinely something that I find difficult to wrap my head around. That mentality. Want to live in a country you don't like, possibly hate. When you could easily live 'where your heart is'.
Could you just imagine the flip side of that. Someone living in Ireland that considers another country is real their home, constantly moaning and b111tching about Ireland and Irish, but does not want to return to their 'home' country, when they could easily do so.

I don't hate it at all,quite like it really, bar some racists and stupid people who have put the UK in the position it is now at with leaving the single market on the back of imaginary trade deals.

I'm married to a lovely English woman,she thinks black and white,me not so much so,she probably saved me from an early death tbh and reined me in. It still seems completely baffling to me, lapsy. If you like living in the UK, accept what it is and obtain citizenship. If you don't, choose live where your heart is, where you don't need to mix with racists. Nothing I've read suggests you really do like it here though, simply tolerate it.
We have far far, far too many foreigners living here, who effectively hate the country and hate us, but made an economically cynical choice at some point to live here, rather than their home. Of course millions are still making that choice, and most of them remain bitter. If they were potless and their home country offered nothing, I could sort of understand it, when the UK was a much richer country with more economic opportunities. Not a choice that I would make, but I could see why people would, like my own Mum did. For various nefarious reasons, that is no longer the case.

Britain was severely hamstrung by the debt of WW1 and WW2. US kept them in business with what amounted to crippling repayment deals. (last payment was 2006) Three years late they loaned substantial money to Germany and Italy, which they weren't obligated to pay back.

It makes it even more unintelligible for me. I am an Irish citizen and have a right to an Irish passport. If I got one, it wouldn't change what I am.
In one sense it seems you are plagued by historical events, that occurred many generations before you were born. But it doesn't stop you living in the place that you hold such a chip over.
It's not you personally, I similarly feel like you are intrinsically a good person. However, there are millions of people living in the UK with similar disposition. Usually I can put myself in someone else's shoes and empathise with their choices, even if I don't agree with them, or would make alternative ones. But in this case, I really don't get it. In my view, anyone who wants to live here permanently should need to at least show some commitment to the culture by applying for citizenship.

Different history books with the two countries,you would get all the 'nice' things, Irish history would tell a different story and doubt it is ever featured on your curriculums. It is always convenient for instigators to 'forget',it is a fairly long list though i would tend to agree a line has to be drawn through it at some point and today it has come a long way in a few decades.
The IRA bombings on English soil was utterly shameful as the British people were innocent.
70's and 80's Ireland wasn't a 'great' place,the community spirit in the Marsh(City) was first class though tough times, the power of the Catholic Church then was shameful too,it had and probably still has people 'running wrong'.
On a micro level i am on good terms with neighbours (the Welsh neighbour in my parents house (Cork) is a credit to the UK there).
