With the huge increase in 2026 of geo political destabilising incidents across Europe, such as 70,000 immigrants in one day, drones at airports, infrastucture hacking etc.
The chances of an event like this being used as a platform by one of these geo political actors, leading to a major news story are much increased. 250-500 arrests and a handful of stabbings would be average. Here's hoping it just another average year. |

It's only just gone 21:00 hours but a short time ago the Evening Standard reported that there's already been a staggering 169 arrests on "Family Day" at the Crime Carnival.

Just dug out my Aswad Live and Direct vinyl LP - recorded at Notting Hill Carnival no less (in 1983) . No Warrior Charge on there  but still a great album. |

243 arrests now but apparently it is overwhelmingly positive , i doubt it is for all the people attacked and assaulted , and these are just the incidents that are actually reported and they are caught and arrested , the real figure will be much higher .

The carnival is just a display of the liberal system.
That’s why they don’t care about the massive hypocrisy regarding all the arrests, stabbings, sexual assault and violence. Khan says how fabulous it is but doesn’t let you reply to him on social media. What is the percentage of white English now in London? It was 33 per cent in 2021 so now 25 per cent or even less. You either have to embrace it or be despised for hating it. |

It just shows how captured the police in the UK are that such a large yearly increase in arrests is still something positive and there are no issues to highlight.
