Not found a job within a month and claiming benefits you're going to jail for 6 months hard labour, while wearing a clown outfit. Latest policy from reform.

No fun no money, no pay no play, plenty job’s about, people who don’t want to work are lazy, regardless of we’re they were born.-

No reason why they cant do something in their local community, litter pick, paint a fence, weed verges, gives them a reason to get up if they turn in 3 times a week for a couple of hours chuck them 50 quid on top.

Why not just execute the unemployed?
Report MALAY August 6, 2026 3:10 PM BST
Definitely Pauly but they have been brought up to be lazy iPhones driven to football match to game, we used to walk it or bus. Society is gone it’s all take and blame everyone else who has nothing to do with it’s

A generous benefit system is the catalyst for some persistent long term mentally compos mentis unemployed. A way of life to some with the occasional stint in the black economy.

We have “ tidy towns” here it’s one of few things I watch on tv apart from sports, it’s all elderly people that contribute.
Report MALAY August 6, 2026 7:25 PM BST
I’m not belittling people who have went to college or fake university and have achieved a qualification but if you can’t get a job with it, it’s pointless, you need to go and get a job and if you do it diligently you will progress.
Report Busyfool August 6, 2026 7:44 PM BST
tidy towns very effective. was amazed how er... tidy they were. just shows how potential disapproval and competition from others spurs positive activity

wait until the 'refugees' turn up and make a mess of it
Report MALAY August 6, 2026 8:12 PM BST
Let’s see what happens busy, I think you are wrong but betfair don’t have market I can’t bet against you, refugees have been around for longer than tidy towns.
The major drug mob looks gone but more worrying for Ireland is who is filling the void.
Report Busyfool August 6, 2026 8:16 PM BST
if we are to accommodate 'refugees' why can they not do something to help the nation that is paying for them being saved from 'persecution'? anything socially worhtwhile like clearing up after fly tippers or painting council buildings or removing graffiti or teaching us how to perform fgm properly?

they will be more than happy. being a paraffin in the yuk is still eminently preferable to being a citizen of the horrible steaming sh1tholes they escape from
Report MALAY August 6, 2026 8:18 PM BST
I don’t know exact definition of refugee but Ireland had plenty fled to USA due to famine, but they worked and made themselves a home there.
Report Cider August 6, 2026 8:24 PM BST
The clue is in the name. Refugees are seeking refuge, not money. Well, that's the theory. Cherry picking is a recent phenomenon.
Report Busyfool August 6, 2026 8:27 PM BST
they have not. migrants have. big difference. refugees is a misnomer. the original act was to save people from being sent back to the ussr, and fear of persecution and death there was 100% real

if it was about escaping fear, they would flood into russia or china. strangely, they do not. only europe and the anglosphere

what we have now is illegal immigrants using outdated legislation to make false claims. and we go along with it, as you would accommodate an intruder on your land in a shed or outhouse
Report Busyfool August 6, 2026 8:32 PM BST
yes. they sailed to the u.s. along with millions of others as migrants, not refugees. they didnt claim special privileges because they werent any available

and they were granted entry, mot asylum
Report Cider August 6, 2026 8:37 PM BST
The arguments of wets of the likes of MALAY don't stand up to a tiny bit of scrutiny.

If you ask them if they'd support the mass deportation of people who have failed asylum claims and are here otherwise illegally. A conservative estimate, in the UK that would be over a million.
Report MALAY August 6, 2026 8:37 PM BST
Busy not sure you’re post is relative to Ireland or the famine, I’m not trying to be cheeky I can assure you, but you are not really replying to my post, it seems just a generic rant.
Report Cider August 6, 2026 8:38 PM BST
Did they all return home once the famine ended?
Report Cider August 6, 2026 8:42 PM BST
There are over 10,000 in the prison system alone. So they can't even pretend they don't know where they are. That's the offician number. But rather than deport them, the wets prefer to let criminals free after serving 1/3 sentence.
Report MALAY August 6, 2026 8:45 PM BST
Anyway in my opinion Drugs in Ireland is much bigger problem than migrants and I’d assume it’s same in England, death penalty for trafficking and possession would cure it, and all you lads thought I was left wing
Report Busyfool August 6, 2026 8:50 PM BST
not ranting. havent got revved up yet

ive walked the famine road.  those emigrating were not seeking a refuge, were doing what many others did, not just ireland. they migrated to somewhere that was newish and exciting and offered prospects they couldnt envisage at home

what we have bowling into europe in large numbers now isnt like that. its people moving from somewhere they have been brought up in and will never be in danger of starvation or persecutuion claiming that they are, and we ahve to assess their claims and look after them while doing so

its a racket and the refugees know it, which is why the premier destination is the yuk, despite the hurdles in the way. so it patently is not 'genuine fear of persecution' that is in the un charter they all claim under that speeds them on the way. otherwise theyd stop several thousand miles earlier

If Ireland brought that in other countries would follow, we were one of first to bring in smoking ban, ridiculed at time.
Get drugs to F lads, get together with EU and English friends and obliterate that muck from communities
Report Busyfool August 6, 2026 9:00 PM BST
you assume wrong mal

the landscape of the yuk has changed wildly for the worse due to immigration. chunks of the country are not british at all. try east london. its hard to credit where you are

only we have to embrace others. theres no multi culture anywhere except europe, not the middle east or africa or russia or china. only we must enbrace it

and its also about where migrants are from. immigration from certain places i cant name for fear of being deleted has been a calamity. fact. if you endured similar levels from similar places you would change your tune rapido

and the deasth penalty is not a solution to anything aside from the short term obvious one
Report Cider August 6, 2026 9:00 PM BST
Nobody thinks these people are heading out to sea in a blow up boat as it's safer than being in France. It simply suits their argument to feign ignorance.

Gambling with their life is worth it.

Therefore the only way to stop the ruse is to make the gamble not worth it.

Either they get absolutely nothing for taking the gamble, or they end up back where they started.

I'm not fussed which approach is used.
Report Busyfool August 6, 2026 9:18 PM BST
instructive that when the left wing govt in denmark restricted access to benefits the numbers of desperados with genuine fear of persecution dropped by 80%
