Not sure I would couch the Brent character as likeable. Ultimately harmless, but cringeworthy. Probably as Gervais is likeable, and did such a good job with the creation. Burnham is cringeworthy but dangerous.

All we can hope for is that he is a serious and compassionate politician dedicated to fixing things.

We've had nearly 20 years of useless leaders, we could do with a change.

I very much grew up in a working class family. For the early part of my adult life I was working class. Not any more. I can quite confidently say I know what it's like to have to be watching the bank balance every time a bill was due to land, or needed to buy some groceries.

And yes, I didn't moan about the hand I was given, I wasn't envious of other people. I worked hard and turned it around.

Most were unsure, even apprehensive about King Charles being able to follow the footsteps of his mum. Glad to say and see he's done well so far.

I hope Mr Burnham could represent UK Plc with integrity, accountability, dignity and respect locally and internationally. I hope Mr Burnham will bring back a belief, hope and set out policies to rejuvenate UK Plc that have been so sadly missing with PMs in the past decade.

To hear PM Burnham say to "end rough sleeping" does not fill me with confidence. There are so many major issues UK Plc are experiencing and more important eg a trade deficit, nhs, education, housing, immigration, gdp, national debt, etc.

Coincidentally enough I signed up to a 2 year domestic energy contract last night. Standing charge for electricity 53.71p PER DAY! Nearly £200 a year before I've even switched a light on. Standing charges are just another stealth tax.
