I'll bet he's still free as we speak.

Are tories supposed to be fans of illegals now?
Report saddo July 3, 2026 1:12 PM BST
They ushered plenty in.

True

At least he amongst his own now.
Report saddo July 3, 2026 3:41 PM BST
You'd think it was 1.01 he'd have had a visit from authorities today
wouldn't you, but I very much doubt he has. Fatigue is growing and the
government will need to keep up with the pace, well done BBC.

If he has any sense and less arrogance he would flee the country PDQ.

This is the same journalist who broke the "vape shops are criminal gangs" story a couple of months back and police arrested several people a week or so after her report on that.

I expect the same will happen to him and some of his mates.

Bonkers stuff.....just shows how fecked up the UK is......tweet some hurty words and get jailed or at least a visit off the Gestapo but smuggle and illegally live in a country and get welcomed with open arms.....all arse backwardsSad

It's telling that even the BBC seems to have changed tack on such issues now and is exposing these illegals, belatedly it has to be said but well done nonetheless.

No comments from the progressives on here yet ?

Yeah, have to hope they've tipped off the plod rather than go for a big exclusive cos that guy is surely on his toes if he is who they think he is.

Absolutely shocking! The UK is broken. The judiciary cannot do anything because the UK government are unwilling or not forthcoming to bring this scum to justice. So many foreign scums have absconded whilst waiting to be sentenced after having been convicted.

The council have closed the smuggler's shops for 72 hours, and will have to jump through
legal hoops and apply for a 3 month closure on Monday, no reports of an arrest.

There must be a whole lot of illegals in that area as he was caught off camera saying he is very safe there, amongst a lot of his own. !!

£1m in cash confiscated was reported. No mention of the composition of people behind it though.

I think it's about time the local councils up and down the country rescinding or revoking the trading licenses of vape and mobile shops with no customers. They should also close every vape and mobile shop and corner shop found to be contravening its trading licence agreement by the Trading Standards officers eg selling un-taxed or smuggled tobacco, illegal drugs, etc.
Report Shrewd_dude July 7, 2026 6:35 PM BST
No chance.

The councils will be infested with people too scared to be called racist if they target these type of shops.

If organisations like the police and social work are too scared to call out grooming gangs or refer potential killers for treatment because of fears of looking racist there's no chance of council workers getting involved over tax and licensing infringements unless they have to.

You'd think plod would have arrested him with camera crews in tow, but not a word.

Why does UK Plc not cut ties with Pakistan? Is Pakistan economically and militarily important to UK Plc?
Report impossible123 July 8, 2026 8:28 PM BST
The people trafficker running a vape shop and the Pakistani ringleader of a grooming gang sentenced to 22 yrs imprisonment and served 14 yrs but cannot be deported are making a mockery of UK Plc.

Pakistan shielded and hid Bin Laden for 7 yrs but claimed no knowledge of the whereabouts of the terrorist throughout and received $Bn of aids from the USA in this period. The terrorist was dealt with in a covert operation by the USA elite force without the knowledge or assistance of the Pakistani government and its security services.

Mini-marts in Leicestershire linked to a convicted people smuggler have had new businesses registered to their addresses after they were shut down by council officers.

A BBC investigation traced Twana Jamal, once described as "the godfather" of the French migrant camps, to Blaby where reporters witnessed him working illegally in two shops in the village.

The new companies were registered to the addresses just days after Blaby District Council applied for a closure order for the stores in Lutterworth Road.

Financial experts have told the BBC registering multiple companies at single addresses can be a red flag.

Blaby District Council secured a temporary emergency closure order for the premises, Candy Corner and Candy Corner 1, using anti-social behaviour laws on 2 July.

Following the order, new firms were registered to the properties on Saturday and Sunday under a new director, who is an Iraqi national.

I know the area well. I used to work in an electronic shop next to the subway and then walked to Huckleberry in oxford Street for the evening job. I used to go into the Mecca bookies on the occasional day off. All these during my time as a student and Summer holidays.
