Which of those 'socialist ideas' are you against?



Socialism is just a bunch of stuff that everyone needs or wants to the extent that it makes sense for
everyone to chip in a little according to their means and "The government of the people, for the people"
organises it for the benefit of the people.


Obviously in practice there is huge amounts of variability in efficiency, waste and implementation, but in principle it makes sense.

Mamdani has recently pushed a “Click to Cancel” rule designed to make subscriptions much easier to end. The proposal would require companies to let consumers cancel subscriptions as easily as they signed up — essentially “one click to sign up, one click to cancel.”

The proposed New York City rules would:

crack down on “subscription traps”
require simple cancellation processes
target hidden fees and endless cancellation steps
allow fines against companies that make cancellation deliberately difficult.

Mamdani described current practices as corporations extracting money through confusing systems:

“If you can sign up with a click, you must be able to cancel with one.”

The proposal is being described as potentially the first municipal “click-to-cancel” law in the US.
