We have to go all the way back to Harold Wilson to find the last occupant of 10 Downing Street who knew what a battered saveloy is!

I’m not a natural Labour supporter but as long as he gets rid of Reeves and doesn’t replace her with Ed Miliband I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't expect miracles just some common sense and conviction.

Not sure he has a lot of conviction judging by his turnarounds on a few things ...

there's no money to spare (would have been even less if Labour had their way with covid btw and less austerity) and wealth taxes tend to be less effective than some imagine though the principal is reasonable..

the true left want drastic change rather than evolution towards a fairer society..the former is difficult if not impossible within modern economics...bond markets show that - which directly leads to less and more expensive borrowing.

if he wins the by-election, replaces starmer and decides to spend more money there is a significant possibility that the markets respond in a similar manner as they did to the truss mini budget.

I think he’ll win just because he’s going to ban VAR

Agreed jollyswagman. One thing he won't fix is the national Debt.
