Good match, they played very well and could go far,Their second half performance surprised me,it was excellent.

Yeah, taken some of that on the Chihuahuas. We've had a tough Premier League season. Playing in tropical heat at a height of nearly double that of Ben Nevis is far from ideal.

Didn't see the game, personally preferring the Wimbledon Championships. Were England really as poor as some media outlets are claiming? Or was it a case of the Bongo Boys proving stiffer opposition than many had anticipated?

First game I've watched right through, tense stuff, I enjoyed it.

Best team won, really England no excuses apart from too much additional time, but Argentina turned the screw, England had no correct solution and everybody watching knew it was only a matter of time.

Back then we didn't have wall to wall football, so world Cup was a real treat.

Now it's just a continuation, and top club sides are better than international teams.

Myself and others think match is meaningless but that’s harsh, it’s part of the tournament which everybody knows before taking part and if you knew beforehand you would be taking part in it, then you would thought we are doing well.
Obviously England football operations and fans were disappointed to not make final and were close to making it but only 2 can get there.
