There was a good win for the tories in Aberdeen South but it became a single local issue election, namely oil and gas. At Arbroath, their frailties are exposed. The Labour vote collapses and is shared amongst the SNP (up 5.8%), Reform (up 9.6%) Tories (up 3.9%). SNP increase their majority from 1.9% to 21.7%. Tories are in danger of becoming LibDem like, in as much as they can win by elections and seats for Westminster but only when everything drops for them, with no clear opposition.
