Have been charged twice for a hotel
Im seem to be the ACCUSED
Spent half hour talking to a BOT
Making me angry
Apparently i should contact the hotel directly!!!

Legalised ROBBERY

I spoke to them about an overcharge, they sold me
a cheap rate, and hotel charged full rate!!!

Had all the screen shots etc, they let me speak to
a person, ( in Holland she said) and emailed all the stuff
and eventually it was sorted.

If you paid on a credit card and it's over 100 quid
you can get them to sort it, if payment is on debit
card phone your bank ask for a charge back of 2nd payment.

Bots ain't very good at fixing human errors.

I also find the bot gatekeepers very painful to navigate.

Yep the credit card advice is useful insurance if anything goes wrong.

Glad it was sorted, & also happy it took a human rather than a bot to actually be useful.

Better booking with hotel directly same price, it’s same with train tickets go in and speak to the employees and if you are flexible they can get you better deal than messing about on train line
Online bargains is a myth, might be woke, I still don’t know what woke means

Sometimes the hotel can't match the online agency price

But usually you can phone hotel and get better price
if its not available online.

Train tickets shop around, split journeys.

We are going to London in June, one train, 3 tickets..
stay on train, and it's 20 quid each cheaper than single
Durham to London... Same on way home... But 2 tickets
and it's to Newcastle, but we get off in Durham.

Woman in ticket office used to do it for me, but ticket
office gone, so good job I took notice.
