He must first get past NEC then win his seat then win the contest. Surely 2.28 on here is way way too short. Thoughts?

The NEC won't dare block Burnham again and I imagine Burnham knows how to get his vote out at a by-election.

FREE MONEY imho.

I don't know much about him, but it seems he has pop star status in Manchester, 66% of the votes for Mayor.

Seems like free money to me also, if he stands then 1.3 will be hit imho, but politics is politics, anything can happen these days.

The hype around Burnham will probably see him win this and then become PM. Labours problem is once he is elected people will see him for what he is in about 6 months and then they will be back to where they started. Dont forget that when he tried to become leader in 2010 he was about as popular as Diane Abbot with the members. He hasnt got better its just everyone else has got worse. Be honest we would all prefer him to Angela Rayner.

Burnham is a Labour Friend of Israel.

Your views on the genocide in Gazza are a part on any election, Gorton and Denton proved that.

Makerfield isn't 30% muslim. So there won't be a bunch of hair brained people basing their vote on something that their constituency or mp has absolutely no influence over. Less family voting can be expected, too. Arguably that is in the benefit of labour.

Out of curiosity shoulndt the odds on the by election and Burnham being next PM be more in sync ? As its surely only a formality if he wins the first leg.

The Greens will make much of Burnham being a Friend of Israel.

"Andy" stands no chance if his vote is squeezed by the Greens and Reform.

Yes, and of course the markets are being manipulated.

You need to be able to calculate, roughly, the true odds
and reprice.

At what point would starmer be a more popular leader
than Burnham, if Burnham wins makerfield?

Restore should be 1000

I cannot believe normal people are getting very excited about BLAIRITE Burnham. He WILL NOT BE TAKING LABOUR BACK TO THEIR TRADITIONAL LEFT POSITION, IT WILL BE MORE OF THE SAME.

The interesting element (I suppose) is the reason why 2TK is in deep trouble isn't really that he is utterly useless, incompetent, the socialist policies, the lying, the dodging responsibility, the piousness, the u turns. It's simply that the Labour MPs fear for their jobs. If everything was the same, but he was polling 27% and hadn't lost Wales, the plp would still be supporting him.

If they think swapping 2TK out for another socialist that hates us will change their fortunes, they have another thing coming.
