And Trump comes way down the line when it comes to blame

The powers way above him have had this in the book for many years

Too late to panic ? Not really but people could have read between the lines during the virus. You would have had a decent start

Report PorcupineorPineapple March 27, 2026 2:53 PM GMT
Thank god all our trucks don't use diesel. Will just affect the lazy-ar$es commuting and nothing else whatsoever.
Report Cider March 27, 2026 3:04 PM GMT
Would have been tricky if we didn't have domestic refineries.
Report PorcupineorPineapple March 27, 2026 3:05 PM GMT
As of early 2026, the UK domestic refining sector has contracted significantly, with only four major petroleum refineries remaining operational following closures in 2025. These facilities produce a significant portion of the UK's road diesel (DERV), though the country relies on imports for roughly half of its total consumption.

Before you say it, absolutely conducted under the auspice of the utterly limp and woke alleged 'conservative' party.

Report clouded leopard March 27, 2026 4:12 PM GMT
You'll get 15 minute cities by default if we get a 5 year oil supply issue norbs

almost by design

Pretty obvious who sets foreign policy in the States the last few decades
Report clouded leopard March 27, 2026 4:32 PM GMT
I find it incredulous how people believe that whoever is pres or PM for that matter actually calls the shots

I've been shouting this since Covid and I'll say it again -

The monetary system is broken

The final link to gold severed in 1971 and fiat expansion jacked to the nips ever since - that enabled a lot of entities to get their hands on assets, land etc - it also enabled more inflation for the peasants.

It was the single most pivotal moment the system ever saw

Real income has struggled to keep pace ever since

All fiat currencies die eventually due to greed, debauchery, corruption and this will be no different.

If it's based on debt it has a shelf life

What we have seen since 08/09 is pretty much fake - there is no organic growth, quality of life in the West has turned and will keep on dropping as gold flows to the East

What we have seen since Covid is an acceleration. Rather than finish the game the board is being flipped over top prepare for a new financial paradigm in order for those who have been at the helm to continue

We're now in a period of perma inflation and taxes that will wipe the middle classes imo

And oil may well be the tool of choice to implement that crisis

We need moar suffocation of the supply chains surely

but your food shortages will purely be down to the Climate - we must remember that Laugh
Report breadnbutter September 15, 2026 6:27 PM BST
Call it climate or Weather but it has had an impact, increased Co2 helps as does warmer extended growing season. But drought has prob reduced the benifits, swings and roundabouts.
New tech has helped too with ability to grow fruits and veg under cover and under artificial lighting and hydroponics ect.

Modern dairy, beef, pig units, chicken farms ect ect, also fish farming although that is often at the expensive of wild species, it's filthy and pollutes pristine ecosystems.

All in all no chance of mass hunger unless it was manufactured, but seems it's not a just a single black swan atm, it's been  a fkn flock of the fvkr.

Current geopolical chess games and energy wars a threat but even that won't stop much in long run.
